When you wear a full face of make up most days of the week, it doesn’t take long before your make up brushes are packed full of foundation, powder and various shades of eye shadows that need to be removed. After Halloween my brushes were in a state. Glitter, on top of cream contour on top of black eye shadow. They were fit for the bin if nothing else. Luckily, I have quite a nice routine where on a Sunday afternoon, I sit down in front of the tv, put a good film on and wash all of my make up brushes that I have been using that week. Nothing feels so satisfying than seeing lines and lines of freshly washed brushes, with bright white bristles in place of the grubby, stained, splayed bristles. Making light work of washing brushes, I’ve been using my Sigma Spa Express Brush Cleaning Glove and the brand new Sigma Sigmagic Brushampoo. It’s an ideal addition to any make up enthusiasts kit.
I’m washing on average 30 make up brushes per week, and the thought of washing them all by hand is draining. Since I got my Sigma Spa Express Brush Cleaning Glove, I can’t believe just how easy it makes it. For a start, I’m not plunging my hands in warm soapy water constantly, nor do I have to use my hand and palm to rid my brushes of built up product. The silicone glove has specially designed ridges and textures to work the brushes into, and the difference it makes is just unbelievable. It’s taking me less time to wash my brushes, which means more time to watch the TV. The glove is designed for face and eye brushes, with a strap that sits securely around the wrist and thumb for quick cleaning. I’ve never been able to get my brushes as clean by hand, and I’m just kicking myself that I haven’t tried a brush cleaning glove sooner.
Combining the glove with the brand new Sigma Sigmagic Brushampoo, my brushes are not only looking in tip top condition, but they are getting the deepest and purest clean. The Sigma Sigmagic Brushampoo is made up of 100% natural coconut oil and palm oil which effectively dissolves built up product without damaging the bristles or ferrules. It’s gentle enough to be used on both synthetic and natural bristles and it smells so fresh and clean. I just wish that I had a brush holder to place all my drying brushes in rather than having to like them up on towels to dry. My baking and strobing brushes have never looked so good.
Although Sigma Beauty is located in the USA, all my deliveries have arrived in next to no time and have taking around 5 days with tracked mail. With the current rate of exchange, it does actually work out significantly cheaper to purchase from the USA, than from UK Sigma retailers.
