Over the last few months, I have been having to take extra care with my hair. Not only have I taken the plunge to change my hair colour from a white blonde to a more natural beige blonde, but I have also let it grow long. As much as I love having long hair again, I have noticed that it is getting a lot more damage than when it was short, due to the fact that I am constantly tying it up in a ponytail or top knot. I’ve recently discovered Salon Science, a haircare brand that targets specific haircare needs and I have been using the Salon Science Haircare GSP-T Swiss Grape range to protect and repair my hair.
Salon Science Haircare is a scientific haircare collection that has been formulated in Switzerland by scientists at one of the world’s most prestigious biotech lab. The brand uses plant stem cells and bio-actives within the products to help fight those hair problems that we may have. The technology used in the making of Salon Science makes the products of a superior quality as plant stem cell technology and bio-active technology has never been used in haircare before. GSP-T is a powerful antioxidant complex that binds to hair surface proteins to actively nourish hair.
I’ve been using the Salon Science Haircare GSP-T Swiss Grape Shampoo, £13* and conditioner, £15* for repair and radiance. I wash my hair roughly every other day, maybe every third day if I can get away with it. The Retextuluxe shampoo lathers up well and rinses from my hair easily enough and doesn’t leave a residue. I do find that my hair doesn’t have that squeaky clean feeling after using the shampoo however it doesn’t have any adverse effect when my hair has been conditioned and dried. The Retextuluxe conditioner gives a great finish to my hair and I may be mistaken but the slight purple tones to the shampoo and conditioner seems to be leaving my hair with no brassiness.
As the GSP-T Swiss Grape range is designed for damaged and over processed and coloured hair, it is a definite in my haircare routine to be using a Thermal Creme, £16* and a smoothing serum, £18* before blow drying. The Reprotectant Thermal Creme comes in a handy spray bottle that makes it so easy to spray into towel dried hair prior to drying. I also like to use this on dried hair before straightening. After blow drying or straightening, a tiny amount of Reglosse Smoothing Serum helps tame any split ends or fly away hair without leaving my hair looking greasy or full of product. My hair feels strong and looks healthy even after using heat products.
