I don’t know how often I say this but, my god, I cannot bear the whole hair washing / drying / styling process. It gets on my nerves. If I had the cash, I would gladly get a blow dry every time my hair needed doing. As it’s short, it needs a bit more TLC these days, and unfortunately, I can’t get away without washing it for several days as I can’t just tie it up in a bobble and have done with it. I’m sure every girl out there understands the trauma that comes with hair washing day. I’ve been switching my hair care selection around at the moment, and I have three different types on the go; a detoxifying shampoo and conditioner, a shampoo and conditioner to repair damaged hair and a day to day shampoo and conditioner from Ogario London.

Ogario London is an independent brand that have taken hair care to the next level. Their ethos is pretty amazing and you can tell from just looking at the ingredients that they have thought hard about just what goes into them. The products are made with naturally derived ingredients and essential oils and they don’t test on animals. From the British made products to the eco friendly packaging, they are a conscious brand that thinks about the environment. The three Ogario London products that I have sound amazing just from the off-set, and even before I opened them to smell them, I could tell that they would smell natural and organic.

The Ogario London Hydrate and Shine shampoo contains honey and Moringa seed, and it’s ideal for my colour treated hair. It’s exceptionally gentle and it feels like an SLS free shampoo when you use it. Dark brown in colour, I was quite surprised at the colour of the product when I first went to use it. It smells gorgeous, really fresh and natural and I love that it has Moringa seed extract within it as it really helps with keeping my hair feeling nourished whilst the antioxidant properties help protect my hair from pollution as well as keeping my skin and scalp conditioned. Honey is also a great treatment for dry and damaged hair and after shampooing, my hair feels strong and almost as if I don’t need to condition.

The Hydrate and Shine conditioner is possibly one of the best conditioners that I have used on my hair as of late. With extract of tamarind and marshmallow, it really softens the hair whilst smoothing the hair shaft and minimising the use of other products on my hair post washing. The scent of the conditioner is to die for, it smells good enough to eat.

I’ve been combining the shampoo and conditioner with the Ogario London Restore and Shine hair mask, for a twice weekly treat, which I’ve since dropped down to once a week. With Lavender and Sage, it smells like lemon sherbet and just from smelling it in the tub, it makes me feel more rejuvenated. The mask is packed full of avocado, olive oil, nettle and horsetail which are all known for their magic properties to keep hair soft and supple, and to prevent damage by keeping the hair strong as well as protecting the scalp.

Although I despise hair wash days, Ogario London are making things better knowing that my hair is in such good condition that I don’t have to worry about breakage and split ends anymore. With my hair being in such good condition, it’s also reducing time I’m spending styling it as it feels and looks great when I leave it to dry naturally.
