Being a beauty obsessive means that I simply cannot go a single day without oohing and ahhing all over new products. As much as I love my favourite brands, I am always on the lookout for new brands and products to find some hidden gems. I’ve come across New CID Beauty a few times before, as I have seen the products as gifts with purchase on some magazine and read a few blog posts where the New CID bronzer has been mentioned. It’s swoon-worthy. Ideal World have recently become an outlet for New CID, making it even easier to get hold of the brand as well as taking advantage of the great deals that the channel has to offer.
The New CID Brow Buster Duo is one of the great offers that can be found on Ideal World and is made up of the i-Groom Eyebrow Grooming Pencil and i-Fix Eyebrow Fixing Pencil, £19.99. Aside from the sleek packaging, the duo contains everything you need to fix brows in place, keep them tidy and groomed whilst filling in missing gaps. I have already slipped the duo into my work handbag and I know that if I get stuck anywhere, my brows will be the least of my problems. The silver cased i-Groom houses the defining pencil as well as a spoolie for tidying up the brows. I personally prefer a stiffer spoolie to help distribute the product but the softness of this spoolie makes for pleasant brushing. The triangular tipped brow pencil is wide enough to fill brows in less strokes, and the waxy formula sticks to hairs evenly without bobbling off into the brow. With the width of the pencil, it takes a bit of work to get a good point for precision definition but the overall effect looks great.
The i-Fix is a brilliant product. A clear wax in a pencil, which although is designed for for brows, it can also double up as an invisible lip liner. How clever hey! The wax pencil is used to sweep through brows, bringing them into an upwards position before almost sealing the top of the brow by running the pencil across the top of the brow. Hairs are held in place without them feeling sticky or waxy and it also helps adhere the i-Groom pencil into the hairs for a long lasting look.
The New Cid i-Line Coloured Eye Liners are what really caught my attention. In Navy, Emerald Green and Amethyst Purple, the slightly sparkly liners really jazz up a basic eye make up look. I’ve been drawn to the Amethyst Purple as it brings out the green in my eyes and really makes them pop. For extra intensity I find that using a white pencil eyeliner first, and then using the coloured liner over the top makes the shades really stand out. Lining eyes with a black liner and using the i-Line above the black looks really good, as does using the i-Line on the lower lash line. I do love a coloured liner as I think it can really transform a look from plain to stand out.
The New CID Beauty range at Ideal World has new products and offers coming in frequently so it’s always worth checking out to see what bargains you can get. I’m definitely going to look at what else I can try.
