I’ve seen NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer crop up on beauty blogs around the globe so many times in recent weeks that I had to try it out and see what the hype was all about.
I don’t usually wear concealer on my face as I use Estée Lauder Double Wear foundation and find that this usually covers up any blemishes or patches on its own. I have noticed recently however, that my under eye bags are dreadful as my body clock has been scrambled and I don’t know what day is it or time zone I’m currently in!
Whilst choosing the colour of the concealer, you should select a shade lighter than your foundation. Yellow toned concealers are better for covering up under eye bags. Test the concealer on the blue veins on your wrist to see if you have a deep enough coverage to cover those pesky bags. If you choose a colour too light, you risk getting the reverse panda effect, which is one look that needs to be avoided!
I have chosen the product in Biscuit, which is described as a “Medium dark natural balance of pink and yellow undertones”. It is slightly darker than my normal colour I would choose, however I’m quite tanned at the moment. I would choose Ginger as an alternative when my skin is less tanned, and this is described as a “Golden undertone for medium complexion”.
The concealer itself is beautiful. I can see why it has been rated so highly amongst other bloggers. The packaging is similar to the Larger Than Life Lipgloss tube, however the concealer is applied with a doe foot applicator. I used a synthetic concealer brush to blend the concealer in, once i had applied it straight from the tube. I found that it covered my under eye circles and didn’t settle into the creases. I didn’t need to apply it for several hours, and when I did, only a slight amount was needed. It gives a deep coverage and a smooth luminous finish. Overall, I was very impressed with how my complexion looked and how flawless the product came across on my skin.
It’s definitely a product that will be staying in my survival kit!
