One of the most hyped up palettes in the history of hyped up palettes has to be the Morphe 35O. Not only is it forever out of stock, but it’s like a race against time to get your hands on one when the limited amount of stock is re-released on beauty emporiums Beauty Bay and Cult Beauty. I’ve had hold of the Morphe 35O palette since mid summer, where a casual browse led to a small purchase and I’ve still not had chance to use it properly. Blogger problems – it needed photographing before I could stick my mucky fingers into it and made it look messy. Oh, what is life.
The Morphe 35O palette is the palette of dreams. For me, I was instantly drawn to the burnt orange shades and foiled shadows in deep, autumnal shades mixed with a selection of browns and neutrals, champagnes and rose golds. With both cool tones and warm tones in the palette, it offers a huge selection of shades for the money. I paid around £20 for the palette, which works out under 60p per shadow. You’d been forgiven for thinking that the quality wouldn’t be of a high standard when each shadow works out at 57p, but you would be so wrong. Deeply pigmented and buttery soft, I would liken the shadow formula to those from Makeup Geek and Urban Decay. They pick up from the pan with ease on both finger and brush and transfer to the eye with the same intensity as a swatch to the hand.
The textures of the shadows have blown me away. The mixture of mattes next to satins and shimmers, metallic foils and glitter packed colours, it’s the largest variety of finishes. The metallic foiled shadows have to be my favourite in the palette. So soft that they almost feel like a gel when swatched, they give such an amazing pop of pure shine to an eye look, and they look great when patted onto the lid with your finger for a subtle pop of colour.
For a hyped up palette, it’s lived up to the expectations and I’m now on a waitlist for my next colour collection; the Morphe 35F. If you love the shades in this palette, yet want to be more adventurous or maybe more subtle, there are two more palettes available. The 35OS features all the shades above but in a shimmer formulation whilst the 35OM contains all matte shades. I’d definitely recommend jumping on the waitlist for one of these fab palettes. I can’t wait to add some more to my collection.
