I’ve had this little gem in my make up bag for quite a few months now and I thought that it was time that I shared it with you. I’ve been loving the Maybelline Colour Tattoos since I bought Pink Gold to wear as a primer underneath my Naked 3 palette. I’ve found that although they are classed as eye shadows they are actually brilliant primers and are great dupes for the MAC Paint Pots which I also use as an eye primer. To me, the shades can be worn alone or as a base for a heavier eye make up. They are great for smoothing out the base for your eye shadow, setting without creasing and making your eye make up last for an age. 24 hours I am unsure of, but a good 18 hours is definite, Although the Maybelline Colour Tattoo eye shadows are available to buy in the UK, the USA have a greater range including pigments and the new Maybelline Colour Tattoo Leather 24hr Eyeshadows.
Maybelline Colour Tattoo Leather 24hr Eyeshadow in Creamy Beige is a great colour that can be worn either alone or under shadow. For daytime, a quick slick of Creamy Beige and some brown eye liner creates a simple yet effective look that lasts all day. For evening smokes, I like to layer the Colour Tattoo and pack in my darker eye colours before it sets, meaning that my evening make up will last all night.
The leather effect is an almost matte finish with a slight satin sheen. The colour of creamy beige works really well in blurring out imperfections on the eyelid, and although it is darker than my skin tone, it is a really good neutral wash of colour. It has unbelievable staying power and holds my look in place all day. It’s perfect for my long shifts and I love how easy it is to apply, blend and set. Its a massive thumbs up from me.
The Maybelline Colour Tattoo Leather 24hr Eyeshadows aren’t available in the UK, but the original Colour Tattoos at Boots are showing that they have a Creamy Beige shade at £4.99.
