Two lipsticks are featuring on today’s 28 Days post, and they are MAC Speed Dial and Chatterbox. I’ve chose to feature them both as they are two of my most used lipsticks that are also very similar in colour. They are both what I would describe as a neutral pink, with slightly different undertones. They aren’t too pale, nor are they the bold, bright, vivid pinks that I usually choose to wear. Speed Dial and Chatterbox are perfect for Spring, in keeping with the upcoming pastel trend that will be seen everywhere this year.
MAC Chatterbox is described as a bright red-pink amplified creme on the MAC website, however I think it gives off the impression that is a shocking vibrant colour when in fact it is quite muted, in my opinion. I love the formula of the amplified lipsticks are a intense in the colour pay off and I find that they last a little longer whilst still being incredibly hydrating. The colour is opaque, and it is more of a cooler toned pink but it is a perfect middle of the road pink lipstick.
MAC Speed Dial is described as a light blue pink in the cremesheen formula on the MAC website. To me it is a yellow toned with a golden shimmer. It is slightly less opaque than Chatterbox, and the cremesheen formula isn’t as moisturising as the amplified, however I didn’t find it drying. It is a beautiful natural pink colour and I’m sure it would suit all skin tones.
Although the two are very similar, they are also very different in colour when worn. For a natural day time look or even to pair with a nude lip without going too nude, I think Speed Dial and Chatterbox are just perfect. Both colours are part of the permanent line and are available from the MAC website priced at £15.
Have you tried any of these colours? What did you think?
