Taking a bath is one of those things to do that I really look forward to, and I tend to go all out each time. I love to set the scene – my iPad propped up on the lid of the toilet with a current box set playing, whilst I have a good selection of pamper products to hand. A drink, usually a cup of tea, and even a book for good measure. Since I damaged my back, I’ve been barely even able to have a shower let alone a bath and it’s become to be one of those things that I have been craving like you wouldn’t believe. Not only did I want a bath but I wanted the most luxurious bath that I’d ever had. There was only one thing for it. Laura Mercier to the rescue!
I’ve only had one experience of Laura Mercier bath and body products and that was when I got one of the gorgeous gift sets in the Space NK sale many years ago. The Ambré Vanille set comprised off the bath salts and body creme and with it being so luxurious and rich, the scent was a bit too over powering for my liking. It reminded me of cake and it was a tad to cloying and heavy for my hypersensitive nose. I did have a hand cream in my handbag in the Almond Coconut Milk scent and it was so beautiful. Each time I used it, I was transported to exotic beaches with the scent of sun cream and holidays. I knew this was the fragrance for me, and it inspired me to choose the ever so beautiful Laura Mercier Almond Coconut Milk Honey Bath.
The packaging alone makes the Laura Mercier Almond Coconut Milk Honey Bath look like a perfect gift, especially if you’re self gifting and I was even lucky enough to be given a beautiful gift box as it was around Mother’s Day when I purchased it. A treat that I could not wait to try, I ran a bath as soon as I got home. Inside the box, a 300ml tub of the honey bath alongside a honey dipper to easily move the creme to the running water. The honey dipper does make it a lot easier to control just how much product is used as usually I would just pour it directly from the tub into the water. At £33 for the honey bath, I didn’t want to waste any! I use 2-3 dips of the honey milk for a really bubbly bath and it really does go bubbly.
The smell is absolutely incredible and I can’t wait for bath times just so I can use the Laura Mercier Almond Coconut Milk Honey Bath. The milk really does help in keeping my skin feel soft and supple with the addition of Shea butter, Vitamin A and E whilst the almond shavings, caramel, buttercreams, florals and sandalwood make for a heady and decadent experience. The scent lingers on the skin long after the bath has finished, whilst my skin feels toned and hydrated.
For a little treat every now and again, I would head straight to Laura Mercier for that little slice of luxury. I’m looking forward to adding some more of the Almond Coconut Milk fragrance to my bath times as I have found my perfect Laura Mercier scent. This post may contain PR samples that have been sent to me for consideration for review however all my opinions will be my own.
