I’ve been a fan of beauty boxes for a good year or so and have tried out the majority ie Glossybox, Joliebox, Birchbox etc. I’ve noticed as the popularity of the boxes has increased, the box contents have decreased in quality. My biggest bugbear was with Glossybox, when it stated luxury products and I got sent a lipcote (circa 1985) and an eyeshadow that I remember being sold in a Spanish supermarket where I lived, for €1. Don’t get me wrong, lipcote may be a great product for some of you but it doesn’t fall into my classification of luxury products!
A friend if mine suggested Latest in Beauty. I had a little peek at their web page, link here , and found that rather than the general unknown selection that you would receive with the likes of glossybox, jolie box et al, you can pick from the several editions of boxes available.
I chose the Glamour edition, as at first glance I could see several products I’ve used before and liked, and one or two that I wanted to try out. All for a very reasonable £14.95 including postage. I received the package 3 days after ordering and was very excited to open it.
Inside the black sturdy card giftbox is, wrapped up in lemon yellow tissue, lay my new samples and full sized products. Eek 🙂
I received the following
Stila lip glaze in Maraca, full size (special colour)
Revlon nail varnish in Revlon Red, full size
L’Oreal super liner gel intenza in golden black, full size
The Vintage Cosmetic Company tweezer, full size
Batiste dry shampoo in original, 50ml
Jinnylash strip lashes, full size
John Frieda Frizz Ease serum, full size 25ml
Ginvera green tea exfoliating gel, 10ml
Benefit The Porefessional, 7.5ml
How amazing is that?! Added up the full box comes to about £65, so for £14.95 it’s a bit of a bargain. I think ill definitely be looking into purchasing another LIB Collection box in the future!
And before I forget, on the website once you’ve created an account, you can choose 3 mini samples absolutely free of charge each month. I chose a mini Liz Earle Superskin concentrate serum, Protect Your Hands cream and a Caudalie eye serum. I’ve not yet tried any of these but I’m looking forward to seeing what they are like. Also, there’s an option on the page to buy sample size products at a reduced price. Fantastic! This post may contain PR samples that have been sent to me for consideration for review however all my opinions will be my own.
