My Jo Malone addiction is still going strong and I blame the fact that I have to pass the Jo Malone shop every time I walk through the airport to my waiting aircraft. You know its bad when the girls in Jo Malone put a limited edition or new product to one side ready for me. Oh dear. So when Jo Malone Silk Blossom Cologne came out, it was quite obvious that I would be prancing through the airport, swinging my little creamy yellow and black ribboned bag.
I am a huge lover of the Jo Malone Peony and Blush Suede so there was no doubt that I wouldn’t love Silk Blossom, with its fruity-floral freshness. Jo Malone quotes Silk Blossom as ‘Nature’s blooms at their most tempting. The nectarous, pink-fringed pompoms of Silk Blossom. Irresistible to hummingbirds and butterflies. Apricot-fresh with a touch of spice. Airy with clouds of powder-soft heliotrope, nestling on a bed of moss. Fruity and enticing.’
Jo Malone Silk Blossom Cologne is very light and fresh when first sprayed. I can smell quite earthy notes, which I believe is the moss as well as silk blossom and light peppery notes. It settles down into a lovely fruity-floral scent on myself. Since wearing Silk Blossom, I have received so many compliments on my fragrance, and although I can’t smell it myself after a while, others still can. I would guess around 4 hours of wear, which is good for a cologne.
Did I mention the bottle? The label is pink as it is a limited edition and it has a silk tassel. Sold! Its gorgeous, and looks beautiful on my dressing table with all my others. Any bottle of perfume that has a tassel is a winner for me. Jo Malone Silk Blossom also comes in a 100ml and the charity candle, in which the entire £42 price goes towards Jo Malone Charity Gardens which fund charities worldwide. A great cause and a beautiful pink packaged candle as a bonus.
Jo Malone Silk Blossom Cologne 30ml is £41 and available for a limited time only.
