At the start of a new year, my social media sites became awash with promises of a new year and a new me, with a new improved body, diet plan and lifestyle. Sometimes making resolutions can set you up for a fall, so personally I like to work on things that I know that I can achieve. Although I haven’t fallen into the ‘New Year, New Me’ trap, I have set myself little goals that surprisingly do include health and fitness. To kick start my goals into action, The January Birchbox – Women’s Health edition has come in surprisingly handy. Not only did it make me go out and buy a copy of Women’s Health, which is a really good read and has got me feeling a bit more motivated, but it’s packed full of some fab samples to help in your quest for the body beautiful.
I’ve been hearing a lot about Matcha green tea so I was delighted to receive a sample of Embrace Matcha Green Tea. At £24.99 for the full size, it is quite pricey however the antioxidants within the tea is 10 times more than regular green tea. I’ve not yet tried it in place of my regular green tea but I am looking forward to giving it a go.
Th Stila lip glaze in Gleam is a full size product worth £15. I have so many of these Stila pens, and I think they are such a good product. Gleam is a colour that will suit all skin tones and contains just the right amount of shimmer. I don’t wear make up at the gym, but a natural lip gloss like this would fit the bill.
Activbod Cooling Finish lotion is a menthol packed lotion that I have already earmarked to keep for a post flight treat when my legs are tired from walking a million miles up and down an aircraft. It’s £12 for the full size so if it works well, I will be buying one!
I have a lot of love for Philip Kingsley products so the Body Building Conditioner, £19 will be being used as soon as I need to wash my hair. It’s a great conditioner for making lifeless hair look full of body.
Two products in The January Birchbox – Women’s Health edition that I am dying to try are the Heal Gel Intensive, £37.50 and the Ren Glycolatic Radiance Mask, £30. I’ve been eyeing up the Ren face mask for ages but due to its price, I haven’t bought it just in case it didn’t agree with my skin. I can’t wait to give this a go. The Heal Gel has caused quite a fuss in the beauty world as of late with it’s amazing properties to help protect and restore your skin.
This months Birchbox Lifestyle item is a Pilates resistance band which has actually come in really handy for me. I’ve recently taken up yoga and as I am getting into it, I think that pilates will be the next style of exercise that I will incorporate into my routine. There is also another treat in this months box which is an offer to get 10 months of Women’s Health magazine for £18 which is 52% off the normal price.
My treat to you this month is this special code – BBXANOUSHKABEAUTYBL which will enable you to get a free Beauty Blender worth £26 when you take out a subscription with Birchbox. This code is valid with a 1 month, 6 month and 12 month subscription and is valid until January 31st.
All the products included in this months box are available in their full sizes from the Birchbox Shop. If you spend over £10, you can get free shipping on your products as well.
