Illamasqua, you’ve done it again! This is the beauty equivalent of having a glass of water thrown in your face. Hydration to the extreme. Hydra Veil is from the latest offering from Illamasqua, from the Paranormal collection. Its quite apt really, as the consistency of Hydra Veil makes me think of ectoplasm.
So, what is Hydra Veil I hear you say? Is it a primer? Is it just a gimmick? Well girls and boys, Hydra Veil is the newest innovation in hydration for your skin. Its a quick pick me up with immediate results to create that perfect base for your make up. Apply after your usual skincare regime and notice how perfect and full of life your skin looks. Its ideal to use over make up to combat puffy eyes and for us trolley dollies, it will keep that dehydrated mask of a face at bay!
Hydra Veil comes in a 30ml pot with an mini spoon applicator inside the lid. Upon lifting the lid, you will see a strange jelly looking consistency that breaks up very easily with the little spoon. One spoonful is enough to hydrate your whole face. Apply with a brush or your fingers and sit back whilst you feel the Hydra Veil get sucked into your parched skin and plump you back up.
My favourite thing about the Hydra Veil (apart from how it makes my skin feel) is how the ectoplasm merges back to a set jelly after you’ve broken it all up. I played about with this numerous times. Simple things eh!
Would i recommend it? Definitely. Especially if you work in a dry atmosphere at work, it will do your skin a world of good and help your make up stay put, whilst making you feel refreshed and bloomin beautiful.
Illamasqua keeps knocking it out of the park with these fab new products. No wonder i’m hooked!
