A few Sundays ago I was invited to attend the Halo Hair Extensions event at The Cornerhouse in Manchester. An afternoon jam packed with champagne, macaroons and hair extensions, well count me in! For a perfect pamper, nail technicians were on hand to primp your nails, two masseuse’s to relax us and Ashleigh and Aimee, the hair stylists who would be fitting our Halos and styling them into a Princess worthy look. John was on hand to answer any questions and explained the philosphy behind Halo and its products.
Halo Hair Extensions is one of the most innovative designs for hair extensions that I have ever seen. The quadruple lace backed weft of 100% Indian remy human hair sits on a miracle wire which can be adjusted to fit your head for a perfect fit and maximum comfort. Whether your hair is long or short, the Halo will suit as there are no clips to be hidden and as long as it blended in with your own hair, it looks natural and real. The extensions can be fitted in minutes by simply placing the wire so it sits approximately 1cm after your hairline and fits comfortably behind your ears. Using a tail comb, pull out all of the hair that the wire is covering so the wire is hidden underneath. Here are my before, during and after shots. I’m wearing the 20″ Deluxe Halo in #613 Light Blonde*
I actually felt like a Princess when I had my transformation, the Halo blended with my own hair perfectly and the colour match was exactly the same. I couldn’t feel the Halo is my hair, just a slight bit near my ears. I also didn’t feel that the hair dragged or pulled down through the weight like it does when you wear clip in extensions. After some time of wearing them, the initial feeling of the extensions near my ears disappeared however the weight of them did make me quite hot. Probably my own fault for rushing through Manchester and hitting Selfridges whilst wearing my faux fur coat! As my hair was still curly the day after, I wore them again. I absolutely love the look of them whilst they are in, it really transforms a plain hair style into something special.
I will be looking at doing a couple of blog posts on how to wash and dry my extensions and also, how to style them.
Have you tried Halo Hair Extensions? What do you think of the concept?
