Get Party Ready with The Good Spa Guide

After spending the day filling in my diary for the upcoming festive season, it’s shocked me to see just how much of a social butterfly that I’m going to be. Usually one for hibernating in the winter months, I make an exception for December. Party dresses, new shoes, pretty accessories, copious amounts of Prosecco. What more could a girl ask for? With all this socialising coming up, I’ve teamed up with The Good Spa Guide to make sure that my skin, hair and nails are looking tip top before any of my events that I will be gracing. Over the weekend, I had a much needed pamper session and focused on absolutely every single area of my body. Feeling preened to perfection, it’s a shame I wasn’t heading out for a boogie. A cup of tea and fresh pj’s had to do.

There have been some amazing products that I’ve tried out this weekend and each one of them has been either a new brand or a new product for me. Lighting the candles in my bathroom and bedroom, setting the pamper mood with soft lighting and a relaxing album playing in the background got my night off to a good start. Heading to the shower I used the Caudalie Thé des Vignes Shower Gel, a luxurious treat that smells gorgeous. Thé des Vignes is a blend of Neroli flower, white musk and warming ginger, making a perfect pre-bedtime shower treat.

I love anything pink so you can imagine my delight at the Espa Pink Hair and Scalp Mud. Even the marble packaging is oh so blogger. After dampening my hair in the shower, I massaged the mask into my scalp and left it in whilst I slept. The apricot kernel oil worked at my scalp, nourishing the hair at the same time, whilst the clay is to help boost circulation and stimulate hair growth.

I spend a lot of time on my facial skincare routine, so I was in my element with all my new products. Taking off the remains of the day, the Aromatherapy Associates Rose Exfoliating Cleanser really makes it easy to buff off dead skin cells. I’ve used the Lavender Cleanser in the past and I adore it, so this really fits well in my routine. Rose water, plant oils and jojoba beads gently slough at the skin leaving me with the face of a teenager.

Reviving my skin was the goal of the evening and after a good exfoliate, I applied the Elemis Pro Collagen Hydra Gel Masks to my under eyes and let the potent hyaluronic acid, Padina Pavonica and Chlorella formula tighten and brighten my under eye. Whilst the gel masks got to work, a vial of Thalgo Absolute Radiance Concentrate helped to perk up my skin before I added a healthy amount of the Nimue Skin Refirmer Moisturiser, which is said to be like Botox in a jar. Finishing off around my delicate eye area, the Comfort Zone Sacred Nature Eye Cream Gel cools and soothes puffy eyes and banishes dark circles. I woke up looking like a different person, I tell you!

In preparation for any party, I want my skin to glow so on the run up to the festive period I will be using this stunning Temple Spa Body Truffle body cream. Indulgent is the only word to describe how amazing this cream is and I almost feel like I don’t deserve to be using it without it being a special occasion. At least my skin will be at its best for when it’s time to use the Kissed by Mii Instant Shimmer Tan. An instant tan is one of the best inventions for lazy girls like myself. Although I like to keep a strong tan game, I like a little boost for a night out, and this one washes off when the night is over.

I’m saving three products for a nearer Christmas as I think they are absolutely perfect for getting in the party mood. As tempted as I am to open the Natural Spa Factory’s Pearl and Rose Gold Renewal Peel Off facial mask, I’m saving it for when my skin needs a boost through the party season. I’m also saving the Spongelle Radiant Amber sponge that leaves skin feeling silky smooth with a subtle golden glow. The last gold piece I’m saving is the Jessica Phenom Precious Metals set, as this is the most amazing shade for December.

Finishing off my wild Saturday night of pampering, I added a couple of drops of Comfort Zone Tranquillity Oil on my pulse points and a drop on my pillow. The essential oils calmed me down and gave me the best night sleep. Perfect for after battling a post party hangover.

Tonight, The Good Spa Guide and a handful of some pretty fab bloggers will be taking over Twitter for a chat about getting ready for the party season. • These all sound so good, really intrigued by the pink scalp and hair mud. I have tried products from Thalgo before and heard a lot about Elemis, most of these brands and products are new to me but sound fantastic. Thanks for sharing, perfect products for a pamper session xxx
