It’s been a sad time as of late. Not only are my lashes going through the natural shedding stage, but it seems that I quite like messing with them in my sleep, causing them to break off or to be pulled out completely. I blame it on stress, as it’s making my hair fall out so once again, I am having to try and remedy things before I end up bald as a coot. I did have lash extension applied at the beginning of October to stop me messing with my lashes, but I just ended up pulling those out as well. I may have to start wearing mittens to bed. I’ve resorted back to my trusty LiLash, because if anything makes my lashes thick and full, it’s that. I’m in week two of my first cycle and already I’ve noticed a difference. Now I’m free of lash extensions and have lashes to play with, I’ve been able to try out some new mascara products. The new Too Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara & Melt Off are my newest find and they are awesome.
I’ve tried the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara on many occasion and although I hear so many people rave about it, I just didn’t like the fluttery, fanned out lash that it gave me. With the little lashes that I have left, it’s actually worked out to be one of the better mascaras that I’ve used. It does lengthen my short stubbies, and the fluttery lash actually looks better when worked into short lashes. The brand new Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara has the same iconic hourglass wand as the original, and although I am a comb applicator girl, I find it really easy to apply without getting mascara all over my face. You know the struggle is real.
The formulation of the mascara is intended to thicken, lengthen and curl, which I do see the results of with the Waterproof version. The waterproof formulation stays put all day, and although I never wear a waterproof mascara, I can be tempted now I’ve seen just how much it stays in place. I don’t have any issues with flakiness and clumpiness, and as my eyes are terrible for watering in cold weather, it’s become a bit of a life saver to me.
I’m not saying that you need to get the Too Faced Mascara Melt Off to take off your waterproof mascara, but you would be stupid not to. A conditioning oil based formula with a comb applicator that makes it almost too easy to get mascara off. I like to run the comb through my lashes, leave for a minute or two before taking a warm, damp muslin cloth to remove every trace. I’ve found that it also gives my lashes an extra boost through continuous use, and they don’t seem to be breaking off as easily as they were before. The oil is also helping with my lash growth as well as making mascara easier to apply.
You can’t beat Too Faced for some of the best products on the market, and each product that I try just affirms my love for the brand. What makes it even better, is that its now stocked at Selfridges. Hurrah.
