I’ve been really getting into the new brand from Estée Lauder, The Estée Edit. It’s young, fresh and vibrant without compromising on the Estée Lauder quality and formulas that we know and love. The injection of youth, I feel, is just what Estée Lauder needs to bring the amazing brand to younger generations, especially as Lauder is seen as a more mature brand. With the campaign being fronted by model of the moment Kendall Jenner and vlogger/model Irene Kim, it’s definitely creating a stir in the beauty world. I’ve been blown away by the creative and innovative products that have been designed to tap into the more youthful consumer. It’s certainly working, as there is so much buzz around the Selfridges exclusive brand. I’ve picked my top products from The Estée Edit and I can’t wait to show you.
You’ve already the seen the covetable The Edit by Kendall Jenner palette, so today I’m introducing some complexion and eye enhancing products into the mix. Starting off with one of my personal favourite products, The Estée Edit Flash Illuminator, £22, this liquid highlighter is the stuff of dreams. You all know just how much I love highlighters and illuminators so this is a dream come true. I have the shade Sun Light, which is a medium warm bronze shade, and perfect for the summer. The illuminating balm is lightweight and feels soft and silky when applied to the skin. It’s a great multi use product which can be used alone, under or mixed with foundation or used to strobe and highlight. The micro pearl formula means that skin looks glowy and luminous without looking caked in product. It also contains hyaluronic acid, which is a hydrating wonder ingredient so it’s winner for me.
In the days of selfies and having a good photo taken, The Estée Edit Flash Photo Powder is a god send. An ice blue coloured sheer translucent powder, it diffuses across the skin to give a soft focus finish. It’s a universal shade, made for all skin tones whilst the formula of the powder is oil absorbing. It’s a handbag essential for on the go touch ups. The blue pearl pigments in the powder give skin a luminous finish in any light, so those camera flashes won’t make faces look ghostly white.
As a girl who loves a bright pop of colour, I’ve been toning it down to create a signature glow using The Estée Edit Barest Blush in Purr Pink. A soft sheer blush, that contains micro pigments and sunflower oil, it applies beautifully to the cheeks, leaving a natural looking flushed colour, whilst the metallic spray on the top of the blush adds a subtle shimmer.
I’m really tempted to pick up a few more complexion enhancing products from The Estée Edit, in particular the Skin Glowing Balm with Pink Peony, the Pore Vanishing Stick and the Beam Team Hydrate & Glow. I’m really impressed with just how much thought has gone into the whole range to ensure that every bit of ourselves is enhanced to the maximum without over doing it with too much product. Everything is sheer, yet can be upped for an extra boost. The pigmentation is deep yet doesn’t transfer onto the skin as harsh, but as a gentle glow to enhance the youthfulness. AS it is exclusive to Selfridges, you’ll not only find The Estée Edit on the website, but fabulous new counters have been installed in the beauty halls, where you can see The Estée Edit in all it’s glory.
