Chidem Beauty – Handmade, natural skincare

I did say that January would be a month packed with new skincare products and today is no exception. I’ve been really looking forward to sharing this brand with you today, as I believe that we are just seeing the start of a business that is going to be massive. Before Christmas I ran a giveaway to win a cleansing balm from Chidem Beauty and with my posts on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, there certainly was a buzz from this unknown brand. Let me bring you up to date with the brand and its commitments to skincare that make it very special to me.

 Chidem Beauty

Chidem Beauty‘s name was derived from the Founder of the brand, Cigdem Yilmaz, which means Crocus in Turkish. Chidem stands for purity, uniqueness and natural beauty. Chidem Beauty want to reach beyond being an ordinary cosmetic brand and with their luxurious and exquisite products, I cannot see it being a problem. The ingredients are the finest organic and naturally sourced ingredients. Made to order in Chidem’s own laboratory using their own unique blend of botanical ingredients, each product is lovingly made and elegantly packaged.

Chidem Beauty

Cigdem sent me two products, one being the moisture therapy cleansing balm and the other, a personalized body scrub that smells like Christmas. They arrived in beautifully wrapped embossed gift boxes with grograin ribbon and a personalized card detailing the products and scents.

 Chidem Beauty

The Chidem Beauty Moisture Therapy Cleansing Balm, £38* is my favourite product and I have diminished all my skincare to the back of the shelf whilst I have been using this. As a lover of balms to cleanse, the Chidem Beauty balm flies straight to the top of my favourites list. I would even go as far to say it outshines the Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm, which has been a cult product in my routine for the last 18 months. It smells good enough to eat, with frangipani, jasmine, rosewood and red mandarin essential oils to help condition skin. Camomile and cranberry soothe the skin and leave it redness free whilst vitamin E revitalises. The balm feels so luxurious on my skin and doesn’t feel at all cloying. I like to massage it in to dry skin and using a few drops of warm water turn it into a milky cleanser. Once a week I use it as a moisture mask and leave the balm on my skin for around ten minutes then remove with a muslin soaked in warm water.

 Chidem Beauty

Cigdem has personally recommended the Chidem Beauty Personalized Beauty Body Silk Treatment Scrub, £36.50* with a very special spicy and woody scent. The beauty of these scrubs are that they can be made to your own special blend of scents. The spicy and woody scented body scrub smelt like Christmas with rich toffee aromas and warm spices emanating from the pot. I often just open the jar to smell it. The blend of Cinnamon, Sandalwood, Ginger, Clove and Cypress are a perfect mix of aromas that fit so well into the Winter months. The scrub itself is all natural ingredients such as Himalayan Salt and African Cupuacu Seeds to exfoliate the body whilst a blend of essential oils and nourishing oils relax you. Now, I must say that it does make a bit of a mess in the bath and I find that a small amount works best to really slough away those dead skin cells.

I am so in love with Chidem Beauty, especially my cleansing balm. I love cleansing, however I can’t wait to take my make up off just so I can use the cleansing balm. I honestly would love to walk into my bathroom and see the entire range of Chidem Beauty skincare products all over my bathroom shelf. I am definitely going to look into the rest of the moisture therapy range as my skin is feeling so lovely, soft and smooth right now.
