Blogmas 2015 Day 13: SHOW Beauty Hair Care

I have been lured into a world of hair care that I have no way of getting out of, and quite frankly, I do not want to get out of. One of the most premium hair care ranges that I have ever clapped eyes on, and probably one of the most expensive ranges I’ve seen. I should not be falling for its beauty especially when the cheapest product starts at £30 but it’s so worth it. Unbelievably worth it. SHOW Beauty Hair Care is my new guilty pleasure and it’s making me feel like a Princess, with its super luxe formula, prestigious price tag and the promise of elite elegance. Of course I’m hooked and it only started with a blow dry.

I had been invited to House of Fraser in Manchester by the SHOW Beauty team to receive a complimentary blow dry using SHOW Beauty Hair Care products. I was asked to come in with freshly washed hair and Olivia would style my hair using SHOW Beauty. I had my blow dry prior to changing my hair colour to brunette, so at this time the colour, cut and length were a lot different. As my hair was so long, I found that any sort of style dropped out very quickly as it was so heavy. I asked for a smooth, sleek but volumised blow which Olivia did perfectly.

Dry shampoo was spritzed throughout my hair to combat any oily roots and to give some hold to my fine hair. Olivia then sectioned my hair ready to blow and at the root sprayed the SHOW Beauty Lux Volume Mist. Quite possibly one of the best volumising sprays that I have tried, it gave lift and volume to my hair and stayed in until I washed my hair again. I also found that when I have used it before blow drying, it has helped give some texture to my hair which is preferable especially when I am wearing it up for work. I feel like I can actually style it rather than just scraping it back as usually the hair at the root is too fine to do anything with.

Before Olivia blow dried each section of my hair the SHOW Beauty Thermal Protect Spray was spritzed over my locks to give maximum protection against the heat. I always use a heat defence spray when drying and straightening my hair and it makes so much of a difference. Once my blow dry was complete, my hair was sprayed with the ultimate in decadence, the SHOW Beauty Decadence Hair Fragrance. I have never had a hair fragrance in my entire life so you can imagine just how luxe this felt.

What I love about the SHOW Beauty Hair Care range is the fragrance that runs through every single product. The divine rich caramel scented products have been developed by fragrance leaders Givaudan. The fragrance blend contains rose water combined with light notes of coconut milk, caramel and almond butter, with rich Madagascan Vanille, patchouli and white musk. If you haven’t tried any of SHOWs hair products, then I urge you to give you a little sniff, just for the scent alone. They’re simply delicious.

Other stand out products that I have fallen in love with from the SHOW Beauty Hair Care range are the Working Texturising Spray and the Pure Treatment Oil. For that extra bit of jujj in your hair the day before it needs washing, the Texturising Spray works wonders on flat and lifeless hair whilst the Pure Treatment Oil deeply conditions my hair, making it more manageable and less knotty after I have washed it.

I’m a handful of products off the full collection but I’m quite sure that I will be picking these up soon. After all, I can’t bear a half finished set. You can see the SHOW Beauty Hair Care website for the full range, and you can purchase SHOW Beauty in House of Fraser.

  • There is no need for how pretty the Show range is – I mean this isn’t the kind of thing you chuck in the back of the drawer and haphazardly point and shoot at your head when you actually remember you should be using something other than brush on your hair! So fancy pants, I’d be flipping my hair for all it’s worth if I was sporting Show!
