Last week, I was invited to an event at Harvey Nichols in Manchester for a Benefit exclusive. No hints were given so I had no idea what was going on until I turned up. Held in the Personal Shopper section, for two hours, I mingled with some of Benefit’s amazing team whilst we chatted about something that is very close to my heart – the perfect brow.
Whilst sipping on champagne and nibbling the delicious afternoon tea that was provided, I was given the opportunity to chat to Jarad Bailey who is the International Spokesperson of Global Services for Benefit, and like me, he loves eyebrows. Over the years, Jared has made it his mission to achieve that perfect arch and to ensure that girls across the globe were able to achieve it too. To say that Jared is passionate about brows is an understatement. His knowledge and understanding of creating perfect brows comes from within and I thoroughly enjoyed chatting to him. He is a perfect brand ambassador for Benefit and I really warmed to him.
I then got the chance to spend some time with the wonderful Lisa Potter-Dixon. Being in her company was just incredible. I am a huge fan of her work so to have some time where Lisa worked her magic on my brows and face was just amazing. First of all, Lisa shaped my brows using the unique Brow Mapping technique. The brow mapping picks up where your brows start and end and most importantly, where your arch should be. After having received the best compliment from Lisa, that my brows were actually perfect, I went over to see Lauren who was going to give me a bit of tweaking, tinting and taming to give my brows that perfectly polished look. Lauren has done such a good job of my brows that I want to hire her as my official brow grooming queen. I am in love with the finished look and even without any product, they look strong and powerful and practically perfect in every way. Heading back over to Lisa for a mini makeover, Lisa filled in my brow prescription that comprised of Brow Zings in Medium, Gimme Brow in Medium/Dark and High Brow Glow in Champagne Pink. These products, used each time I do my brows will define, highlight and perfect that every day look.
The surprise of the day was the introduction of a special new product, Bling Brows By Benefit. Bling Brow is a service that will be offered at Benefit Brow Bars from the 1st November over the holiday season. Brow Jewels have been featured heavily over New York Fashion Week, London Fashion Week and have been seen celebs including the Kardashians. Using Swarovski crystals, the Bling Brow service offers three options; Touch of Bling, Over The Top Bling and Big Time Bling. Depending on if you want a touch of sparkle or a full bejewelled brow, Benefit can meet your needs with a combination of eight different colours of crystals. Starting from £4/€5, the Bling Brows will be fabulous for the Christmas season. Also available from November 1st is the Bling Brow Kit for just £19.50. As per Benefit, this gorgeous little trinket box can be used once the self adhesive crystals have been used up. I have also been informed that once the self adhesive has been used, lash glue can be used to get more uses from the swarovski crystals. I can’t wait to get chance to wear these, so roll on all those fabulous Christmas parties!
I had such a great day with the Benefit team, and it was an absolute honour to meet Jared, Lisa and Lauren as well as two girls who I have spoken to many a time but have never met before, Jazz and Aaman. Check out Aaman’s blog, Girl On Beauty here.
