Oops, I did it again. I keep buying those Anastasia Beverly Hills items that aren’t that easy to get hold of in the UK, and then I just want to show you just how incredible they are and then you need to book holidays to America so you can go shopping. My bad. Anyway, I’m digressing and I really need to show you my newest pretty, the Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lips Candy Apple.
I knew I had a mission coming up to hunt down the Anastasia Illuminators but I wasn’t expecting to add Candy Apple to the wishlist until my Mum asked me if I had seen it. Being a make up maven like myself, it had already been spotted and I was in the mind set that I would be getting it, if it was as delicious in real life as it was by swatch. It was. I bought two. And two illuminators. I need to go to rehab. Not only does it have the matte finish of it’s predecessors Unicorn and Carina (which I still haven’t blogged about yet), but Candy Apple has the most beautiful gold speckled finish. Not sparkly enough to look like a glitter bomb, and not too discreet that it’s almost invisible but just the right amount of oomph to the matte finish. Candy Apple is a great shade name for this colour as it is runs true to the rosy red that you would associate with the candy apples found around Halloween and Bonfire Night. Truly opaque with just one swipe across the lips, and with a doe foot applicator that actually sits in the right position on your lips in order to create smooth and perfect lines. I’ve been wearing Candy Apple pretty much every day and although it’s quite drying when at work, it lasts longer than my stamina for the day. Its a real toughie in terms of longevity and I would average around 8 hours of wear, with minor topping up. It’s love.
When will be getting these amazing Liquid Lipsticks in the UK? I need the whole lot. I’m actually feeling like I need to stock up on whatever ABH I don’t have. Keep your eyes peeled for my post on the Anastasia Beverly Hills Illuminators, they are serious contenders in the highlighter game. If you’re heading to the USA soon, the Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lips are $20 from Macys.
