Day Seven brings one of the newest lipsticks to the collection, the YSL Rouge Volupté #34 Pink Asarine. You may remember this beautiful lipstick from my post on the YSL Flower Crush Spring collection. The Flower Crush collection has four gorgeous shades of lipsticks in the Rouge Volupté. I had initially set my sights on #32 Jealous Coral however when I went to see them, Pink Asarine was definitely my kind of colour.
As with all Rouge Volupté lipsticks, the packaging is just so beautiful and one of the nicest packaged lipsticks around. Gold with a coloured band around the middle to distinguish the colour, which is also an excellent match to the lipstick housed inside. The traditional mango scent is present, and I can’t tell you how much I love this smell. So fruity and tropical, and it makes it a joy to wear.
#34 Pink Asarine is an original Rouge Volupté, in that its formula is the more opaque. As mentioned in my post about #6 Pink In Devotion, the sheerer lip colours are my first choice however I do like the thicker formulas, as you can layer them up until you get the desired effect.
The Rouge Volupté lasts approximately 3 hours before reapplication is needed, and that is with eating and drinking. The plus side to the rouge volupté is that they leave a slight stain on your lips so when it does start to wear off, it doesn’t totally disappear from your lips. It does have a teeny habit of adhering to any dry patches so a full prime helps, and a little lip balm top up throughout the day.
Rouge Volupté #34 Pink Asarine isn’t a limited edition as far as I’m aware however with the always changing collections, it may be better to get it sooner rather than later! The retail at £24.50 unless you have enough Boots Advantage Card points like I did! This post may contain PR samples that have been sent to me for consideration for review however all my opinions will be my own.
