Fresh Walls with Desenio Prints
This post contains PR Samples
You may remember that earlier on this year I went on a bit of a mad decorating spree which included making my bedroom into a cool and stylish space, hung with gorgeous black and white Desenio prints. As the months have moved along, most of the decorating has now been completed and my house has started to get the finishing touches. As always, I’ve gone back to Desenio as I love the prints they have to offer and they’ve been exactly what I wanted. When it comes to current themes, trends and most wanted prints, Desenio prints definitely have nailed the brief. Here’s how I’ve turned my home from a blank canvas to a place of joy.
Whilst I have made a focal point in my bedroom on one the larger walls, I wanted something to tie my beauty area of my bedroom. My bedroom is quite large, so I can section off the main sleeping area from my beauty area but still keeping the theme the same. The main wall is focused on fashion and style but I wanted something more beauty and makeup related. I decided rather than covering the walls with framed prints that I was going to get my drill out and hang a picture shelf. How exciting. Shelf up and pictures added, and I am so happy with the end result. It looks so good and makes such a difference to my room. It will also make a nice background for taking my blog and Instagram pictures.
In the beauty area, I added the white picture ledge. I also got a black ledge however I’ve not hung this yet as I don’t know what I want to do with it. At 70cm, it comfortably sits three 21 x 30cm prints in their frames. I have chosen to style three at that size, and two smaller 13 x 18cm prints, all in black wooden frames to tie in with the main feature wall.
As I spend so much time in my office, I wanted it to be a reflection of everything that I love, all wrapped up in travel. If you couldn’t tell, my favourite colour scheme is pink. However, when pink is alongside blues and aquas then I’m sold. When I came across the Studio collection on Desenio that took it’s inspiration from holidays and the sea, I got as many prints as I could that would fit into my dream. They also look gorgeous next to my Mallorca prints and the colour scheme is just right. I just love the white frame they all sit in.
My office was never an office to begin with. A walk in wardrobe room with a spare bed that very quickly had to become a space where I could work in peace and tranquillity but also one where I enjoyed being in it. I think I’ve done really well in choosing the right images for my office and they make me so happy. Over my desk I have a mixture of prints with three from Desenio.
I’ve made my bed into a day bed so I use this more as a sofa for when I want to relax or work from my laptop but still want to maintain working from the office. On the wall over the bed, my two lockdown projects; the pink flamingos that I sewed through the first lockdown. As homage to the Balearics, I chose some fun pink and blue toned prints that look so cute.
And finally, to tie that whole side of the room in, a gorgeous sunset above the bed with the sunset water surface poster. I’m so please with how the whole room has turned out and it certainly makes me want to spend more time in here. Which is good considering it’s 38 hours a week that I need to.
