Bite Beauty have flown over the pond, landed into the UK and have gripped me with their fabulous products with quite some force. I am loving the foundation and primer combo, the whipped blush has me in a frenzy and the lipsticks…well, they’re pretty god damn awesome. You know I’m a huge lipstick fan so finding the Bite Beauty Power Move Soft Matte lipstick is a special moment and I really do think I need the full set. All 20 of them. I’ve added a further 6 to the collection and they are perfect autumnal colours to help you transition from your summer bright shades to something a little more muted and deep.

Bite Beauty Power Move Soft Matte Lipsticks

This creamy, non-drying lipstick, made with tapioca pearls mixed with fatty acid waxes, features a velvety matte finish that looks (and feels) good on lips. The feather and fade-resistant formula comes in 20 crave-worthy shades and glides on for instant, no-fuss, bold color.

Bite Beauty

The formula of the Bite Beauty Power Move Soft Matte lipsticks is beautiful. When you apply them, you find that they aren’t like stereotypical matte lipsticks with a heavy formulation making it hard to swipe across your lip. They are of a thinner consistency, yet are fully opaque with one swipe. Lightweight and almost mousse like, they remind me of the soft focus Powder Kiss range from MAC, a range that I have several shades because of the way they wear and feel on the lip. The Bite Beauty offering gives the same great wear time with no drying or clinging to dry patches. I do find that it doesn’t fully cover any lip imperfections so the lighter shades are quite unforgiving if they are lighter than your skin tone.

The three new shades that I have added to my collection are

Sugar Buns – Pink nude

Chai – Mauve brown

Hot Tomato – Bright cool toned red

I’ve found that I’ve been wearing Sugar Buns a lot as it’s that my lips but better lipstick shade that goes with any makeup look. I particularly like how well these lipsticks stay on regardless of how many cups of coffee I’ve drank through the day. I’m so pleased that matte lipsticks have moved on to formulas like this. They are my favourite finish of lipstick and over the last few years, you had to wear matte lipsticks and deal with the side effects – dry lips, patchy and flaky finishes and don’t even get me started on the liquid lipstick love that we once had where we all walked around with lips like cats bottoms in the name of beauty. Give me a soft focus and blurred out comfortable matte lip any day.

I would be very interested in trying the Agave+ weekly lip treatment as I really suffer with dry lips. If it’s a good as the lipsticks, then I think my lips wouldn’t know what has happened. I have my eye on a few more shades which look gorgeous:

Beetroot – a bold berry

Juniper – medium rose pink

Cayenne – a fiery warm toned red

Mulberry – a muted cranberry

I can these being a firm fixture in my makeup bag going forward and even now, as I write my post whilst wearing my lounge wear I am wearing Sugar Buns on my lips and I feel a lot more glamourous than I should. I can see why Bite Beauty has made such an impression on everyone and it’s because the quality of the products are so good. For £25 a lipstick and a formulation as good as this, I would rather purchase a Bite Beauty Power Move lipstick than one from an alternative brand.
