In just a few short years Sand and Sky have gone from strength to strength. Founded by sisters Emily and Sarah Hamilton back in 2017, the girls pioneered the idea of using Australian pink clay as a masking ingredient. After months of research and testing, Sand and Sky was born and hit the shelves, becoming an instant social media hit. Looking at the packaging, I am not surprised! The brand sold out almost immediately and since then Sand and Sky has been well known for being one of those hard to get hold of, Holy Grail skincare products. Since the launch of the original mask, the range has expanded to feature serums, creams and body products and thankfully, it’s a lot easier to get hold of now as it’s stocked at Cult Beauty. After trying a handful of products, I can honestly say that replicas are just that and the wonderous properties of Australia’s pink clay have given my skin such a boost.

Brand Focus: Sand and Sky

Australian Pink Clay is quite a potent ingredient that is unique to the shorelines of the country. The benefits that have been found in the clay include removing impurities, toxins and dirt, whilst helping to reduce pores. Soothing and calming, it also helps brighten the skin. It’s exactly what you are after in skincare products isn’t it!

Sand and Sky Australian Pink Clay Mask

I’ll let you into a little secret – I’m not a huge fan of clay masks. Well, I wasn’t. It’s so weird how you have such an aversion to products because of how one previously made you feel. The Sand and Sky Clay Mask is actually beautiful. Weirdly, everyone seems to have a brush in their pack which I didn’t get but we move on. A little goes a long way, so using the spatula in the box, I used a small amount to layer over my face and dry down. I leave it on for around 10 minutes and whilst it does dry down, it doesn’t feel like it’s suffocating my face like previous clay masks have done. I think this is what I needed to change my mind on clay masks. Using a warm cloth to remove it, its like my skin has been reborn. I look bright and fresh, glowing and positively radiant with no tightness of skin or any redness. As clay masks do tend to draw out everything from the skin, so if you have a night out planned I wouldn’t do this mask a day or two beforehand. I can see why it’s received so many rave reviews, it’s a beautiful product.

Sand and Sky Australian Pink Clay Body Sand

Erm hello gorgeous supermodel skin of skin. What is this sorcery? My new bath companion, the Sand and Sky body sand with it’s cute little pink scoop has become my saviour. Great for removing all traces of false tan, removing dead skin cells and unsightly bumps, the body sand has some sort of magic properties where it sloughs it all away without giving me sore, red skin whilst leaving a layer of illuminating subtle glimmer on the skin and a heavenly moisturise. Well I’ll be damned. What a find!

Sand and Sky Pink Clay Deep Pore Cleanser

I love a good cleanser and I have really enjoyed using the Sand and Sky Deep Pore cleanser. It has a lovely silky gel like formula which feels really nice on your skin. As it’s designed to draw out impurities, I was concerned that it would be harsher than it as it does have micro beads. Personally, I would have preferred it without the abrasion as it’s more like a light exfoliator. That being said, it really does give your face a intense clean. I really like this cleanser, it’s given my skin a lovely fresh lease of life, and combined with all other products it’s drawing everything out. Clear skin forever!

Sand and Sky Flash Perfection Exfoliating Treatment

Now this is what I’m talking about – an exfoliator that does wonderous things to my face. I do like to use this as a mask sometimes but at least twice a week, I’ll give my face a little exfoliating treatment to rid myself of the dead skin cells particularly around my nose. As it’s mattifying, I find that after use my pores look reduced, my skin does look matte and I have no excess oil around my t zone. As I have sebaceous filaments on my nose, it’s really helping in my plight to keep them clear. I am loving just how radiant my skin looks after use.

It definitely is a bit of wonder product is the Australian Pink Clay and the results I am getting from it is making me really happy. You can see just why they’ve become so popular online and when the pink products look so good in my bathroom too, it makes me want to complete the collection. I am really interested in trying the Emu Apple range next – it looks right up my street!
