There’s nothing I love more than a Pixi Beauty release so when this incredible PR package dropped through my door, I was over the moon. If you’re a big fan of Pixi, you may remember that they launched the Pixi On the Glow Moisture Stick when they extended the Glow Tonic range and it got rave reviews for being a handy handbag essential for during the summer. The moisturising formulation was fantastic and as it was multi use, it became ideal for me in many ways as I could use it on my face, body, lips and hair. When I saw a post that they were extending the range to include the Pixi On the Glow blush sticks, I was excited because these really are so handy. As we seem to be in a time where many people are swapping out heavier, powder based coverage for lighter, sheerer formulas these are going to be a staple for many.

The Pixi On the Glow Blush sticks are solid sticks to add a sheer wash of colour to your cheeks and lips. The packaging needs a round of applause – it’s very reminiscent of a deodorant in that it twists up but as it’s solid and secure, it can be chucked in your bag and whipped out at a moments notice. You don’t need anything extra to apply it; either swipe it on directly from the stick and use your fingers to blend out.
The formulation is packed full of vitamins and antioxidants such as aloe Vera, ginseng and fruit extracts so you are getting a hydrating soothing glow alongside your flush of colour. It really is a one swipe colour payoff as you can see from my swatches below. I have found that using them directly from the stick is the best for me in terms of colour payoff and to be able to blend them. Of course, you could always use a sponge or brush should you wish.
Available in three shades, I have been leaning towards Juicy more than the others – it’s such a fun colour and looks beautiful on my skin.
Juicy – A pretty peach shade, reminiscent of juicy peaches
Fleur – a muted baby pink for a coy flush
Ruby – a vibrant sun kissed red which looks amazing with a tan
When using the Pixi On the Glow blush sticks, one thing that I noticed was just how beautifully they sit on the skin. They don’t sink into pores or enhance them, but they give almost a filtered look where your skin looks flawless. If you needed more colour, they can be built up with ease, there’s no issue with disturbing make up underneath as you apply or even as you apply more. The dewy look is all the range at the moment, with that barely there, no makeup makeup so these just work so well. With the warm weather we have been having, I have been setting all my makeup in place with a loose setting powder and I think this just enhances the beauty of them.
I love Pixi Beauty. You can see from my previous posts just how much I enjoy their makeup but when they come out with innovative products like this, then they just win me over even more. Thank you so much Pixi Beauty for being amazing and making sure that my skin, body and face is looking spot on all of the time! I do have some more fun products to share very soon.
