I actually cannot believe that today is the last day of November. Where this year has gone, I simply do not know. 2016 hasn’t been a particularly brilliant year and we’ve seen a lot of changes happen over the last eleven months. I suppose I’m reflecting back over the year now as I have all my content planned to celebrate the festive period and I don’t think that a reflection on the past has been brought to my forefront of my mind until I sat down and started typing away. It’s a bit of an unusual post from me today. I suppose with the reflection that I’m doing, the product I’m talking about may seem a bit strange for a beauty blog, but trust me, it’s something that has made someone’s life a little bit easier. Cutting a long story short but someone very close to me has become quite poorly and life as we knew it has changed somewhat dramatically. In the quest to make life easier for all involved, something as simple as swapping a clunky upright vacuum cleaner for a lightweight cordless vac has helped immensely. The brand new Dyson V8 Absolute has made it’s way into my grandparents home and it’s changed life for the better.
Dyson, a well known household name has been going for many years now. I remember the first Dyson we had when I lived at my childhood home and the amount of fluff it picked up with the cyclone technology. Over the years, Dyson has expanded to bring not only vacuums to our homes but fans, heaters and the brand new hair dryer, which I naturally need. Taking the patented technology to the next level, the Dyson V8 Absolute is the top of the range cordless vacuum cleaner, that can be used to clean anywhere in the home and car with ease. The technology, as you would expect, is of the highest standard. Aside from being engineered for easy lifting, the V8 has more battery power compared to earlier models, more suction power to pick up the finest particles and allergens and a quiet yet powerful motor. The Dyson V8 Absolute comes with a soft roller cleaner head for hard floors, a nylon bristle cleaner head for carper as well as a smaller head for cleaning stairs and car interiors. Each part of the Dyson has been designed for one handed use. You can change the heads, remove the extender pole and even empty the bin using just one hand. It really is a nifty device.
My grandparents have been using the Dyson V8 Absolute over the last few weeks and after speaking to my Nanna, it sounds like it has made a world of difference. Being in their 70’s, lugging a large upright around does create issues, especially when it comes to the stairs and nooks and crannies. The V8 has changed things for the better and according to Nanna, it makes her want to clean up more. She finds it quick and easy to whizz around the lounge and dining room before changing the head of the Dyson to vac the conservatory and kitchen. The handheld Dyson can have the attachment for the stairs clipped directly to it, or onto the extending pole and it makes light work of manoeuvring around the stair lift. Charging takes around an hour for a full charge and gives a good 30 minutes of power with a full charge. The soft touch power switch is also comfortable in hand when being used.
I’m so pleased that something as simple as swapping vacuums has made such a world of difference to my grandparents. With it being cordless, it’s so easy just to pick it up and have a quick whizz around, or clean up any debris in an instant without having to worry about the nearest plug socket. Thank you Dyson, you’ve made a special couple very happy and definitely lightened the load.
