Nude Tones with Clarks Humble Oak in Dusty Pink

If you were to ask any of my friends or family what my style is like, I can almost guarantee that they will say mainly neutral with pops of colour. I am on of those girls who loves wearing creams and ivories, pale corals and salmon pinks. Leopard print is also a neutral, FYI. I do like to keep up with the trends and rather than be that up to date stylish one, I prefer to stick to classic styles that never go out of fashion. Add a statement necklace, a bright scarf or a funky pair of shoes keeps the outfit relevant and up to date. Buying a new pair of shoes is something that I take great joy in and I have some absolutely beautiful shoes in my shoe room. My latest pair are just gorgeous and ever so slightly out of my comfort zone; the Clarks Hamble Oak Brogues in Dusty Pink*.

I’ve put together a little OOTD to show how I would style these beauties and this is what I would wear when going for a day of shopping at my favourite place – Selfridges.

A classic crisp white shirt is my wardrobe staple at the moment and this Poplin shirt from River Island has been a great addition. It has lovely buttons and detailing where the shirt sleeves roll up and it also looks great with the sleeves rolled down. Not only that, it is really flattering as the cut isn’t too fitted but the looseness gives that casual, haven’t tried too hard feel.

Also from River Island are the dark rinse Amelie superskinny skinny jeans. They are quite stretchy so a try on is recommended as now they’ve been worn in, I really need a belt or the next size down! I love how River Island jeans are slightly longer in the leg, so my 5ft 10 frame doesn’t feel like I’m scrimping on two more inches of material.

For a smarter look, I like to wear a blazer and I find that Dorothy Perkins do a great range. This actual style is no longer available but they have some lovely nude pink blazers and jackets in stock at the moment.I find that a blazer is a great cover up but is also lightweight enough to combat this warmer weather where a coat is too heavy. I think every wardrobe should contain a nude and a black blazer.

The majority of my jewellery that I wear is by DanFrank Jewellery, an independent jewellery company who, over the last 3 years, has gone from strength to strength. Each piece is lovingly hand made and the designs and overall looks are stunning. This chain statement necklace gives the overall look more of an edgy feel and takes away the preppy feel. DanFrank Jewellery is available on Facebook and Instagram.

Finally, the shoes. Oh my new shoes, I love them so. I mainly wear flats, not only because of my height but because I’m really starting to struggle in heels. A good solid leather shoe is just what I need for day to day when I don’t want to dress down in my Converse. As the Clarks Hamble Oak are made from leather, they are exceptionally comfy, with or without wearing a sock. The casual city look has been updated with this cream and soft pink design, whilst still maintaining style and flair. Ribbon laces make the overall effect very feminine and I can’t see the brogue trend disappearing soon especially with designs such as these.

wooow these shoes are amazing, the color palette is wonderful! I have the same kind of schoes too, but in navy blue and they’re stylish and so comfortable! The outfit you put on is also very cute, pastel colors are a must in spring!

  • I like these, I nearly got them with my uniform discount but went from Glove Puppet instead! Reppin for team Clarkies with me now 😉 xxxx

I love them! Although they’re ever slightly out of my comfort zone too 😉 I’d imagine pairing them with pale blue / faded blue jeans folded at the cuffs and maybe with a white blouse or crop top. The rest of the outfit would be made by the accessories–kinda like that gorgeous statement necklace you’ve displayed (It’s insanely beautiful). xoxo

  • You can’t go wrong with a pink, and those shoes are stunning. But I just know they’d never suit me!

Those brogue are literally the most stunning things ever 😐 I love the ribbon shoelaces! I really like nudes and neutrals but they don’t really suit me, I tend to wear darker neutrals like black haha!

I literally just returned from clarks with a pair of these beauties. I was also really unsure what to pair them with but today at work I am wearing a black below the knee vintage style flaired skirt with white flowers on and a waist cinching belt and a plain white vest and even this random outfit looked great with these shoes. I don’t actually think that you can go wrong with any outfit paired with these shoes, they are just soo damn cute they go with everything! Happy shopping ladies <3
