I arrived in Vegas on Wednesday afternoon with my friend Matt, and with all good intentions to hit the strip for the first night. After the longest flight ever, and feeling exhausted we decided to sit by the pool with a bottle of Grey Goose and chill out and start the trip properly on Thursday.
After a good 12 hours sleep, we were all refreshed and ready to hit the Bellagio and the lunchtime buffet. For $30, you could help yourself to the never ending buffet and all inclusive cocktails. A Bloody Mary was my choice, and I think in the four hours we were in there, I managed around 12 different courses! It was incredible. I had Thai chicken salad, humous and flat bread, rare roast beef and beef sliders, fresh sushi, Italian mozzarella and sundried tomatoes, pizza, eggs Benedict, roast chicken and gravy, chicken in black bean sauce, pad Thai, Caesar salad and a huge plate of desserts with pecan pie, cheesecake, brownies, strawberry tarts and ice cream. The trick is to eat little portions and not over face yourself, and take little breaks in between more food. If you ever go to Vegas, I think the Bellagio has the best buffet there!
After the Bellagio, we had a wander through Caesars palace and I ended up in Sephora. Not sure how that happened! I picked up the products that were at the top of my wish list, mainly the Marc Jacobs range. I will be going back for more throughout the week!
After having a little flutter in Harrahs, we headed back to the hotel to get ready for a night out, but unfortunately the day and the flight had taken its toll and myself and Matt fell asleep, sleeping through the alarm and waking up on Friday!
So the plan for today is to start at the very top of the strip near Mandalay Bay and working our way down to the Wynn and the Encore. As Matt is a Vegas Virgin, I can’t wait to show him the sights. The camera is fully charged and I will take 100s of photos for you all!!
