Happy 1st Birthday to Anoushka Loves with Bakerdays Letterbox Cake
Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday dear Anoushka Loves, Happy Birthday to me!
Ah, I can’t quite believe that I have had my little blog for 12 months. Last June, I had the idea to start a blog after being quite obsessed with Lily Pebbles and Vivianna Does Makeup. I loved reading blogs, and I also missed writing after I finished my degree back in 2011. So, with little help from my friend Karl, I bought a domain and hoped for the best! I didn’t actually write my first post for a few days after getting set up as I was a bit unsure of how I wanted to do it but low and behold, my writing head came along and I was blogging as often as I could. I had so much to learn as well as understand as having a self hosted WordPress blog and now, 12 months later I am more in love with blogging than I ever thought was possible.
In celebration of my birthday, it was only right that I celebrated with cake. I mean, what’s a birthday without cake?! When Bakerdays contacted me, it couldn’t have come at a better moment so whilst you are reading this, I will be tucking into my icing topped madeira Bakerdays Letterbox Cake*
Bakerdays have come up with a fantastic way to celebrate with a friend, family member or loved one even if you can’t be there in person to celebrate. The letterbox is the perfect size to fit through the letterbox, and is packaged so it won’t get damaged. My cake was posted whilst I was out of the country and when I arrived home, I found it intact without any signs of damage or being disturbed in its celebration tin. Securely packed in the cake bag inside the tin, my Bakerdays Letterbox Cake also came with balloons, candles and a party blower, which the cat absolutely hates! Easy to remove from the tin by using the little paper tab, the cake is sealed in a breathable cake bag to ensure freshness for up to 14 days.
The cake itself is delicious. Fresh, moist vanilla sponge with a small amount of buttercream at the base. Just the right thickness of icing layers the cake and can be personalised with one of the 400 + designs available. My design was bespoke and I asked for my blog logo with pink and peach spots and Happy 1st Birthday. I think from the description that gave, it has turned out beautifully. You can also choose from five types of cake; Madeira, gluten and wheat free, fruit, dairy free and double chocolate chip. There really will be a cake there for everybody!
From just £14.99 including delivery, why not have a look at the options for your Bakerdays Letterbox Cakes, a fun way to send a personalised and unique cake. They also make personalised cupcakes, which are perfect for parties!
