I’ve been really into my fragrances recently and I have been collecting quite a few new bottles as of late. Before Christmas, I received a beautiful fragrance from Yves Rocher; Flower Party. I was pleasantly surprised with its gorgeous scent so I have been really keen to try out more. I’ve managed to get my hands on the Quelques Notes d’Amour by Yves Rocher* and I’m loving this beautiful, romantic scent.
Yves Rocher Quelques Notes d’Amour was launched last September and has been designed to portray euphoria and the feeling of falling in love. The bottle has a beautiful design, quite unlike any I have seen before. The cut glass heart across the two sides of the bottle is stylish and sophisticated and makes the bottle a worthy contender for a dressing table display.
The fragrance itself opens on top notes of bergamot and red pepper which are quite fresh and unusual. The heart notes of Damascus Rose, guaiac wood and patchouli bring a modern yet romantic vibe and whilst rose isn’t my favourite scent at all, the rose notes within Quelques Notes D’Amour are subtle and unoffensive without being reminiscent of those rose based fragrances that the more mature generation tend to favour. The fragrance warms down into cedar, amyris wood and benzoin and leaves a pleasant, polite and soft scent that lingers all day.
Wear time is a good 4 hours with a noticeable lingering on clothing which I found lasted considerably longer. Although I wouldn’t say it evoked romantic feelings of being in love, I find it to be a lovely, wearable daytime scent that has attracted many comments as to what it is.
Available in 30ml or 50ml from Yves Rocher, its a lovely scent to treat your Mum to this Mother’s Day. To all the Mums out there, I hope you have a wonderful day.
To my Mommy, you are the bestest and I love you so much.
