I am in dangerous territory right now. I am currently browsing the Feel Unique website as I have a £5 off voucher and some money sat in my Paypal account from some eBay sales. I could be sensible and save that money but I have a £5 off voucher that is literally burning a hole in my purse. You see, I was shown one of the new releases from YSL, a Rouge Volupté Shine #30 and I can’t stop thinking of its delicious coral creaminess, but can I justify two new YSL Rouge Volupté lipsticks in as many weeks? I did only get the YSL Rouge Volupté #31 Fuchsia Tourbillon recently so to satisfy my urges for this evening, I will show you this little beauty and if I still can’t stop thinking of the other… well, it’s all your fault for wanting to see my YSL lipstick collection.
Last Spring, YSL released four new colours as part of the permanent collection of their ever popular Rouge Volupté range. I have quite a nice mix of Rouge Volupté and Rouge Volupté Shine and although I don’t particularly have a preference as to which formula I prefer, I wholeheartedly love the range. Sleek and glossy, with great staining and staying power, the Rouge Voluptés are slightly thicker in consistency to their Shine sisters. The Spring range was made up of #31 Fuchsia Tourbillon, #32 Corail Jalouse, #33 Rose Nellia and #34 Rose Asarine. YSL Rouge Volupté #31 Fuchsia Tourbillon is a stunning colour and unlike any of my other YSL lipsticks. Thankfully.
Fuchsia Tourbillon to me is Barbie pink. It’s a medium fuchsia pink with cool blue undertones. It’s not matte yet there is not visible shimmer or glitter, yet it has a great 3 dimensional look on the lip. Its opaque but not heavy to wear and it applies well with one stroke. It gives a major staining to the lip. I wore it throughout the night on a flight, took my make up off when I got home and I could still see staining on my lip when I woke up that afternoon. Pretty amazing and also shows that I need to work harder at removing lipstick when I’m exhausted! The glossy finish that it leaves is just beautiful and although it does slightly cling to dry patches, I can get over that for the sheer wear time and finish.
If you need a bit of a pick me up and have it in your head that you can’t live without YSL in your life then I would safely say that a YSL Rouge Volupté or Rouge Volupté Shine will satisfy your beauty cravings for a short while.
