Being the organised woman that I am, I always have my toiletry bag set up and fully restocked in my suitcase, ready for my next long haul trip. Now, it’s not a small toiletry bag, in fact it covers every beauty need that you could possibly thing of. Don’t judge me, I have my reasons. Have you ever been to Cuba without packing deodorant? You’ll be stinky for a fortnight if you’ve not taken any. I had a dilemma. I had to pack for a work event, as well as setting up a case ready to jet across the Atlantic and the less repacking that I had to do after my work event was number one priority. I decided to set up a weekend away toiletry bag, and I can’t tell you how much I loved choosing my products to go inside.
I wish I could have fit all my toiletries in my gorgeous initialled bag from Next but alas, I have too much stuff. Instead I’ve used a nautical themed vanity bag from Primark, which cost around £3. Inside my toiletry bag I have the essentials. I haven’t over packed as sometimes you end up taking things you don’t need, just in case you need them.
For hair, I have packed the Milkshake Integrity Shampoo and Conditioner* which are both in 100ml bottles. The shampoo is sulphate free and deeply cleanses and nourishes the hair, whilst the conditioner is packed with Muru Muru butter for a deep condition. I also packed the Milkshake Incredible Milk* which is a styling fluid to help detangle and enhance straightening which is just what I need now I have short hair.
For the body, I have taken my staple items from Soap and Glory. Is a toiletry bag complete without S&G? I have my favourite scent Sugar Crush in a body wash and body butter from a Christmas set which I have been saving. I cannot get enough of the Sugar Crush scent of zesty lime and ginger with the sweetness of vanilla and sugar. I also packed my Soap and Glory body polisher, for ultimate bathing.
For the face, I have a set that I had been waiting patiently to use. From Rodial, the Dragon’s Blood Discovery Kit has been sat untouched for ages whilst I use up other skincare items. I love Rodial and I use the Stem Cell Super Food range frequently, so I have been dying to try out Dragon’s Blood. The discovery kit is a perfect size for travelling as everything is in pots under 100ml. Within the kit is a cleansing water, a tonic, a sculpting gel and a moisturiser. The cleansing water contains rose water and dissolves stubborn mascara easily, whilst the other three products contain hyaluronic acid, know for it’s hydrating and plumping properties.
Of course, there’s also the addition of a razor, dry shampoo, deodorant and dental necessities which didn’t get photographed but I couldn’t go anywhere without them. What would you be taking in your travel toiletry bag?
