There are so many new releases at the moment, I’m struggling to keep up with it all. Urban Decay have brought out the Pulp Fiction Limited Edition collection, a new Naked Basics palette and the most coveted mascara, Peversion. I’ve been hearing so much about Perversion, I really couldn’t not join in with the hype, could I?
Urban Decay Perversion Mascara promises bigger, blacker, badder lashes with a creamy special formulation that contains Hairdensyl to stimulate lash growth. Hairdensyl is a complex combination of proteins and amino acids including marine glycogen, honey extract and marine collagen that protects, perfects and encourages growth. That aside, just how good is this mascara compared to the hype?
The formulation is great, it doesn’t feel dry and applies easily. I found that clumping was minimal even though the formula was quite wet. With a new mascara I like to leave the lid off for about half an hour and let it get some air to it, I find that this makes it easier for me to apply and gets rid of that wetness that can be so difficult to work through the lashes. One coat could be quite adequate with the Urban Decay Perversion Mascara, it is a really black mascara. Two coats though make your lashes really stand out. Even after 12 hours of wear, my lashes felt conditioned and not dry however when I got that tired eyes feeling and started rubbing my eyes, my lashes didn’t feel like they would be snapping off with brittleness. Urban Decay Perversion Mascara is an absolute pain to get off so I recommend using an oil based eye make up remover to dissolve the mascara. Even when I thought I had got all the mascara off, I still woke up the next morning with residue under my bottom lashes. Apart from that little negative, Perversion is a really good mascara. I’m not a huge fan of bristle brushes and prefer pladtic applicators, but Perversion was super easy to use and gripped my lashes with ease. I was able to pull the mascara from the root and wiggle it through my lashes without any problems and the smallest amount of transfer onto my eyelids.
