Tom Ford Lip Colour in True Coral

Last Christmas my Momma bought me my very first Tom Ford lipstick, Cherry Lush. I was so in love and in awe of it that it took me a while to try it out as I was scared to make a mark on the beautifully imprinted TF on the lipstick itself. Cherry Lush started my journey into the world of Tom Ford and although an expensive hobby, I will never look back. This Christmas I was given the beautiful Tom Ford Lip Colour in True Coral, a colour that I’ve had my eye on for quite some time and I’m so happy that it’s finally mine.

There isn’t much that I can say about Tom Ford lipsticks other than I believe that they are the most luxurious lipsticks on the market. The packaging is stunning and almost too nice to be hidden away. I like to keep mine in my muji storage, a row of gold TF embossed lids all lined up in a row. They are a conversation starter. I’ve never been able to pull my TF from my make up bag without someone wanting to try it or ask about it, and my mission in life is to collect the lot. I’m getting there!

Tom Ford Lip Colour in True Coral lives up to its name, and is definitely a true coral colour. I love a coral lip and I tend to veer on the milkier pinky sides usually. It leans slightly on the orange side of coral, and this may sound a bit silly but I expect to watch The Little Mermaid and see coral that is exactly the same colour as True Coral. Usually Tom Ford lip colours are quite dupeable however I can’t think of a single colour in my existing collection that is similar.

One swipe of Tom Ford Lip Colour in True Coral and you have a fully opaque smile with a really good wear time of around 4 to 5 hours. I do love the finish of a Tom Ford Lip Colour. They are semi-matte with no shimmer and give a lovely sheen to the lip but with the staying power of a matte. Certain colours, with Violet Fatale in particular stay on really well and stain the lip however I didn’t experience much staining with True Coral.

Tom Ford will always be a winner for me so I can’t rave about them enough. For a slice of pure luxury with a luxurious price tag to match, I would always recommend TF to anyone. So, the question I need to ask is which colour do I get next?
