Thinking back to when I was a teenager, I was totally baffled by the amount of beauty products and skincare available and what routines and regimes I should have been following. I didn’t know about how to apply foundation, what colours suited me and how to enhance my features. Fast forward 15 years or so, and I’m a total beauty junkie with a beauty collection that rivals Selfridges beauty hall and a great understanding of techniques, theories and applications. Without the advice and help over the years from make up artists, You Tube, beauty blogs and of course my very talented Mum, I wouldn’t be in the position that I am today. So, when Steph from Stephs Inside Voice decided to create The SO Project, I jumped at the chance to join in.
The Starting Off Project is such a wonderful idea, and it really took me back to those teenage years where I needed a push in the right direction in order to understand what I was doing. I’m honoured to be a part of The Starting Off Project and I hope that the advice and tips that I write about will help people of all ages become more confident in skincare and make up.
The Starting Off Project starts on Tuesday 27th August at 6pm and will run for 10 weeks. Over the course of these 10 weeks, a new blog will be published every Tuesday at 6pm.
This is what will be featured…
Week 1: Skincare
Week 2: Concealer
Week 3: Foundation
Week 4: Bronzer
Week 5: Blusher
Week 6: Mascara
Week 7: Eyeliner
Week 8: Eyeshadow
Week 9: Lipstick and Lip Gloss
Week 10: Makeup Tools
Every week I will be outlining what the product is used for, how to apply, recommendations and anything else that I think would be beneficial.
In honour of this fabulous project, I have picked out some choice photographs of myself when I was 16 to show you that we can all learn!
