Considering that this time last year, I didn’t have anything from By Terry, I’ve done really well to make up for lost time. I started my collection with the By Terry Hyaluronic Sheer Rouge Lipsticks, which are not only gorgeous on, but stain your lips and last for an age. I then delved into the world of the Summer 2017, with the Sun Designer palette and the new Stylo Blackstars before really treating myself to the By Terry Hydra-Eclat Daily Care moisturiser and the By Terry Hyaluronic Hydra-Powder. I’ve started something now and I really want to start building up my By Terry collection, especially after seeing the Space NK Christmas Exclusives. In the meantime, I’ve been using the By Terry Glow-Expert Duo Sticks, and they are just a little slice of luxury for glowing, fresh skin.
Released earlier on in the year as part of the Techno-Aura collection, the capsule collection was comprised of the limited edition No3 Techno-Aura Eyeshadow Palette, two limited edition lip glosses as well as the three Glow Expert Sticks. An ingenious strobing product that is inspired by lights and uses light reflecting pigments for a superior glow. Cream highlighters aren’t something that I would usually go for but when they are cleverly combined with a blusher and bronzer, it changes things up a little. Each By Terry Glow Expert Stick has been designed to give a natural, healthy glow to enhance skin and give a natural luminosity, using two shades with a integrated brush. The brush is concealed by a lid on the bottom of the product, whilst the three shades available can be used alone, or mixed together for a custom colour.
Shade 1: Amber Light is a bronzer highlighter hybrid and each shade suits all skin tones. Used to shape and contour the face, or simply to add warmth and a glow, I prefer to use each side of the stick seperately. When mixed together they create a more glowy bronzed look.
Shade 2: Terra Rosa is a fresh pink blush that brings a flush of radiance to the skin. This is a shade that looks amazing when blended with the highlight and remind me a little of NARS Orgasm when blended.
Shade 3: Peachy Petal has to be my favourite of the three with the glowing peach tones, that although look quite intense when swatched, they blend out to become a wonderfully frosted coral shade.
I must point out that with the integral brushes, that they unscrew from the actual stick to assist with cleaning, which to me is amazing. It’s like Terry has thought of everything. The synthetic brush buffs the product into the skin with ease and doesn’t absorb any product, which makes a huge difference when you’re looking at the £38 price tag.
After having a good play around with the By Terry Glow-Expert sticks for the last few weeks, I have grown to love them a hell of a lot. They make enhancing skin so much easier, and as By Terry looks to enhance rather than drown skin in product, you can see a huge difference of just how natural skin looks when using them. The science of the light-corrective spheres and glow reflecting prisms may sound really fancy, but skin really does glow where you think’I wonder what she’s been using’.
I’m slowly coming to terms with the fact that my bank balance is going to be hit pretty hard with all the By Terry purchases that I want to make at Space NK, and do you know what – I’m absolutely fine with that! Have you tried the Glow-Expert Sticks? What do you think of them?
