This summer saw the release of a gorgeous glittery and ethereal collection from Tarte, which could be found at QVC UK. I absolutely loved this collection and I have not stopped using the products. I’ve totally fallen head over heels for the Maracuja oil and the Tartelette Flirt palette has been a go to. I didn’t think that Tarte could top this summers collection but the release of the Christmas collection has given me all the feels. Flamingos? Check! Flamingos in Santa hats? Check! It’s the most incredible collection ever.
The products featured in this blog post have been showing varying stock levels and at time of writing, the blush clutch is unfortunately out of stock. Everything else is available with delivery in time for Christmas so you can pick up some last minute gifts.
Everyone who has tried Tarte Shape Tape has fallen in love with it’s full coverage formulation and contour/highlighting properties. I love my Shape Tape and will continue to repurchase as long as they make it. As part of the Christmas collection, Shape Tape has had a little festive revamp and comes with the most adorable flamingo charm and petite blending sponge. I must admit that the larger Tarte blending sponge that comes with Shape Tape does get disregarding in favour of my Beauty Blenders but I love the petite sponge for finer under eye blending. The charm, whilst cute, can also be removed if you so wish.
I wasn’t a huge fan of the Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara at first but whilst on a mission to work through my insane collection of unopened mascaras, I gave it a whirl. It’s now safe to say that this mascara has now shot to the top of my go to list. Once I had left it to dry up slightly as I did find the formulation slightly too wet, it’s a perfect day to day mascara for long and volumised lashes. The limited edition flamingo packaging is to die for and I think this is the best packaging for a mascara that I have ever seen.
I am so gutted that the Tarte Life of The Party clutch is out of stock. It really is one of the most gorgeous products that I have ever been lucky enough to own. You can get it direct from Tarte Cosmetics where it is currently just £22. The stunning glittery clutch opens up to reveal five Amazonian Clay face powders; three blushers, one highlighter and one bronzer. The shades are universal and would suit any skintone and they are also exclusive and limited edition shades. The bonus of the Life of The Party clutch is that you can removed the palette of shades, slip in your cashcards and essentials and take the clutch on a fabulous night out.
Surprisingly, out of all of the gorgeous products within this collection, I have to say that I have been most impressed with the limited edition 4 piece Lip Sculptor collection. Not only are the four shades within the set so wearable but I have found them to be so comfortable to wear. The only downside of this set is that the shades are very similar, bar one, and if you aren’t someone who appreciates different tones and shades, then you would feel that the collection is too similar. For me, I can see a difference when I wear each shade and they can be changed by the addition of the lipgloss. Unusually for me, I seem to have been going for that natural look of barely there lips and the Lip Sculptors have come in so handy as of late.
Have you ever seen such a gorgeous brush set in your life aside from the Tarte Let’s Flamingle? A five piece brush set with tropical handles, perfect pink bristles and each brush designed to to cover all areas of the face. I particularly love the blusher brush with the pineapple handle. It’s just so cute!
I couldn’t resist picking up the final piece of the collection and I swiftly added the Tarte Passport to Paradise set to my basket. I love when products are on easy pay over a few months as it almost makes it feel like you’re getting make up for free. Within the set, a 15 pan eyeshadow palette, a Tarteist Glossy Lip Paint, an Amazonian Clay Blush Compact, a deluxe sized Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara and a full sized Sex Kitten kohl liner.
The eyeshadow palette shades fit beautifully with the paradise theme and the shades make you think of holidays, sun tans and pina coladas. I adore Tarte shadows and I do own several of the eyeshadow palettes but I must admit that I haven’t been too overwhelmed by this one. Whilst the shades are lovely, I find that they need quite a bit of work to pick up enough shadow and some shades are quite sheer. A good packing brush is essential. I also feel that there are too many light shades for my personal preference as they rarely get used. Whilst swatching the palette, I did start to feel like I had met this shade range before, and I think its in the form of the Too Faced Sweet Peach palette.
As my love for Tarte grows stronger, I cannot wait to see what they come up with next. I’m so grateful that I can get my Tarte fix directly from QVC UK without having to have it shipped from the USA.
