Studio 10 Beauty

Do you have a woman crush? Someone who inspires you with their work or craft, who empowers you and makes you bring the best out in yourself? Someone who has taken the step to make women feel great about themselves, by enhancing their own natural beauty. Someone who in real life is a genuine and down to earth, warm person who you can’t help but like. I’m talking about the lovely Grace Fodor, creator of the Studio 10 Beauty brand. I’ve spoken before about Studio 10 when I brought to you thew Visible Lift Face Definer, but today I have a few more new products that I’ve been using a hella lot lately.

Imagine a primer that makes you look ten years younger in just 15 minutes. The brand new Miracle Effect Priming Serum has been one of my favourite beauty discoveries as of late. A lightweight gel serum to be worn alone or prior to make up application, the Miracle Effect does exactly what it says on the tin. On first application, the gel feels quite tacky on the skin until it starts to redefine the skin. Aside from making my skin feel and look a lot more plumped up and luminous, it takes hold of fine lines and wrinkles to make them almost disappear. A cross between a filler and a smoother without the surgery, it has made a huge difference to how my laughter lines around my eyes look. I’ve found that the Miracle Effect has been a skin saviour whilst at work as my skin feels incredibly hydrated and doesn’t seem to dry out when exposed to the constant air conditioning, and it also seems to diminish those unsightly bags under my eyes. A true hero product.

As someone who doesn’t sit in the sun anymore, I need to enlist the help of a good bronzer to help keep my skin looking sunkissed and tanned. I like a natural tan, without looking muddy or orange and one that doesn’t feel cakey or dry on the skin. Hitting the jackpot with the Studio 10 Radiance Glow Bronzing Veil, this delightful compact is a bronzer and highlighter in one. A perfect size to slip in my handbag, on the go touch ups are a breeze with this super finely milled powder. It feels like silk on the face and it doesn’t settle into my fine lines, whilst giving the most naturally tanned colour. The highlighting powder gives great luminosity to the face and I have found that it also gives the skin a lovely dewy glow when mixed with the bronzer and buffed over the face.

I’m a bit of a bugger when it comes to mascara. I seem to have an issue with trying out new brands and styles of mascaras, because I can never find a mascara to give me that long length, extra black and volumised lash that I love. The Studio 10 6 in 1 Perfect Lash Mascara promises to condition, nourish, define, lengthen, thicken and volumise lashes with the special two wand design featuring a fat brush and a comb style applicator. Most of the mascaras that I use these days are comb brushes, and I really struggle to apply mascara with a brush as I can’t seem to control it properly. On the first use, I did end up with more mascara on my eye lid than on my lashes, but the brush really did work at separating and defining the lashes. I do prefer to use the comb brush as I find that I can get a better length on my lashes. The formulation of the mascara was lovely, leaving my lashes with a glossy black finish, and I didn’t get any fall out or flakiness throughout the day. Removal was also easy, with a basic micellar water sweeping off all mascara in an instant.

Over the last few years I’ve been realising just how much I need to use a lip liner. At the ripe old age of 33, I have noticed how my skin is changing and that lipsticks have started bleeding. The Studio 10 Age Reverse Perfecting Lip Liner is a beautiful rosy pink shade that suits most of my pale pink lipstick shades. A dual ended liner, featuring the pink shade on one end and a neutralising nude tone to help define and shape the lips. Using the universal pink shade to line the lips is easy, as the pencil glides on and stays put. The nude tone can be used to define around the lips and contour the shape, as well as giving a plumped up look by creating a halo effect. The liner doesn’t dry out and helps keep lipstick in place and it also looks great when worn by filling in the lips completely and adding a touch of gloss for a Kylie Jenner inspired look. I think I have been through at least three of these lip liners since discovering them and it’s definitely a handbag staple.

If you haven’t tried any products from Studio 10 then I really urge you to do so. Each product has been thought out to enhance natural beauty rather than cover it up and I feel that I look and feel naturally pretty when I use them. The whole brands ethos of creating anti ageing products is fabulous and if you are starting to show signs of ageing, like myself, then Studio 10 will have a product that is perfect for you.
