I’ve had this little beauty sitting in my make up box for quite a while now, and for some reason I’d totally forgotten to share the love with my readers. Sleek are fast becoming one of my favourite drugstore brands with their amazing products and intense pigmentation in the colours and their purse friendly prices. I am a huge lover of the Face Form palette, and could not imagine contouring without it. I’ve read so many good reviews about the Sleek Corrector and Concealer Palette, that it was only natural to add one to my collection.
I chose the shade 03 as I’ve had a tanned face for the summer, however I need to replace it with the light shade 02, ready for those cold winter months. The palette contains a light corrector, the concealer and a setting powder. For a perfect match, ensure your middle concealer colour matches or is slightly lighter than your foundation.
The middle conceal colour is slightly too dark for my skin, however I find that when I blend it together with the corrector colour, it gives a perfect shade that is not too dissimilar to Laura Mercier Secret Camoflage, only a lot cheaper!
I use the yellow based corrector to brighten any dark spots and areas such as under my eyes, then blend in the concealer to neutralise any uneven tones and build up the level of coverage that you require. I only use a small amount of the setting powder as I do prefer using my MAC Mineralize Skin Finish instead.
For longevity, it isn’t brilliant and does require a few touch ups throughout the day, however the packaging of the product is perfect to keep in your bag. Small, sleek and unobtrusive with a large mirror, it makes it easy to touch up throughout the day. I like to use my Real Techniques setting brush to apply this palette, it blends perfectly. I found that when using it under my eyes, I noticed a few creases, however patting the product back into place alleviated this. When using on blemishes, I think it works very well and gives a great coverage. For a drugstore brand, it is definitely worth every penny.
