Six Skincare Products You Need to Try This Autumn

Oh hallelujiah, I have finally managed to get my skin under control. It’s taken time, but it’s been worth it. So much so, that I’ve even been leaving the house with no make up except some brows and lashes. Who would have thought it? Clean, fresh, plumped up skin with an even texture and smooth surface, that defies my thirty four years. What is my secret? Well, let me tell you. I’ve found six skincare products you need to try this autumn, that have been helping to bring the best out of my skin.

I’ve raved about my FOREO Luna before and I use it daily when cleansing my face. The Luna facial brush is made of silicone and uses T-Sonic pulsations for a gentle exfoliation and making deep rooted dirt and grime reach the surface of the skin to be sloughed away. The difference in my skin from using the Luna over the last year and half is unbelievable and I really miss my Luna when I’m away. With it being such a high price item that I’d be devastated if I misplaced, I don’t want to take it on my travels. Thankfully, FOREO must have listened to me and they’ve brought out the FOREO Luna Play, a tiny handheld mini Luna with it’s own protective travel case. Unlike the Luna (£129), the Luna Play (£29) is a non rechargeable facial brush that lasts up to 100 cleanses. It’s not only a great way to try out the benefits of the Luna without paying a large amount but it’s superb for travel. In my set, I got the new FOREO Day and Night Cleansers, which feel lovely on the skin in conjunction with the Luna Play.

To bring my dull, damaged skin back from the brink, I’ve been using the DermaDoctor Kakadu C Intensive Vitamin C Peel Pads, £58. They were only available in Sephora however I’ve found them on Cult Beauty in recent weeks. Hurrah. The main reason that my skin is looking smooth with an even texture is down to these miracle wipes. Made with resurfacing AHAs, BHAs and Ferulic acid as well as skin loving Vitamin C, my skin started looking brighter within the first few days of use. The pads did tingle the first few times that I used them, and now my skin looks forward to the twice weekly maintenance treatment.

As I already own the full range of Rodial Stemcell products, it was necessary for me to pick up the newest launch, the Rodial Stemcell Magic Gel, £49. Like the rest of the range, it’s scented with the same luxurious rose scent, and using the same PhytoCellTech Alp Rose stemcell technology, the Magic Gel delivers an intense moisturise into the skin. I’ve been using it mainly in the evening straight after using my DermaDoctor pads. It doesn’t feel like a gel to the touch but more like a silky moisturiser. It really does leave my skin looking dewy and fresh after I’ve used it.

I Have large pores, which unfortunately get quite congested after I’ve been wearing heavy make up so I need to keep on top of the exfoliation to ensure they don’t turn into nasty spots. Clay masks have been a life saver for me over the years, and the natural cleansing properties of charcoal bring out all impurities. The Dermalogica Charcoal Rescue Masque, £38 really does help with drawing everything out and leaving my skin looking bright and feeling as smooth as a babies bottom.

Having recently launched into the beauty world, I’ve had chance to try out the Skinceauticals Phyto Corrective Masque, £55 before it went on sale to the general public. Made with highly concentrated botanical extracts, dipeptide to sooth skin and hyaluronic acid to hold in moisture, this truly is the masque of dreams. It smells amazing, and feels almost cold on the skin when applied. It’s perfect for sun and wind burn, or to cool and soothe the skin after a treatment which may cause redness. It’s like a first aid for the skin. Over the last few weeks of using it, I feel like my skin practically drinks it up and usual redness around my cheeks and eyes has been reduced dramatically.

For a evening treat, I’ve been liberally applying the Argan+ Overnight Treatment £16.99, as this luxurious cream has been giving my skin an intense amount of hydration whilst I’m sleeping. Argan Oil has really become popular over the last few years and for good reason. It has great skin softening properties, and it fills the skin with moisture so much that each morning, my skin looks so plump and fresh that it feels like I’ve grown brand new skin overnight. It’s certainly worth every penny.

If you are looking to add to your skincare routine, then each one of these products gets the thumbs up from me. Have you tried any? I’d love to know your thoughts.
