A week or two ago, I was kindly informed that a subscription to Glamour magazine came with a fantastic Gift With Purchase (GWP). The GWP was from Seventeen make up and contained five of the best Seventeen products with a total value of around £30. Seventeen was my favourite brand when I was a teen and I will never forget the Christmas that my Mommy bought me a tool box filled with Seventeen make up, or 17 as it was back then. As the years have gone on, I have started to become more of a high end gal rather than the drugstore girlie I used to be. I was totally impressed by the last Seventeen purchase of the Hot Chilli lipstick, which I believe has now been discontinued, but I have been seeing the new improved Seventeen really upping their game as of late.
In my GWP, all packaged up in a cute little gift bag was the following:
BB Cream, the ultimate all in one for skin. The BB cream is supposed to improve skin with active ingredients that prevent spots, minimise pores and control oil. I haven’t worn it a great deal as it is a tad too light for my liking, however I love the feel of it on my skin. It is perfect for ‘no make up’ make up days as it gives such a flawless finish and blurs the skin so you look so natural.
Tattoo Me liquid liner is amazing. I haven’t worn liquid eye liner in a long time so when I first went to put it on, I actually struggled to do it. A few practices and I was like a pro again. What I love about Tattoo Me is that it adheres to you like a tattoo and doesn’t budge until its time to take it off. I haven’t experienced any smears or smudging and it dries really quick. I created perfect winged eyeliner with Tattoo Me and it stayed on all day.
Skin WOW is just wow! This three way highlighter can be worn as a primer, mixed with foundation or patted on your high points of the face for serious radiance. Its light, no greasy and gives your skin a serious ethereal glow. The pearl colour suits any skin tone and stays put all day.
Shine Supreme lipstick in Rich is a beautiful deep berry red with such intensity that it stays put for a good 4 hours without reapplying. I wish I had this colour through the winter months as it is so beautiful. Its lightweight with a creamy consistency and isn’t at all drying nor does it drag when being applied. I’m looking forward to wearing this on nights out and come next Winter, I’m sure it will be a staple in my make up bag.
My absolute favourite item from the GWP is the Instant Glow Shimmer Brick. This Bobbi Brown dupe is so beautiful with its light highlighted pinks and deep pink bronzed tones. I’m looking forward to this becoming an essential part of my long haul make up bag. Add to the apples of your cheeks after you’ve applied Skin WOW and I’m talking serious luminosity. If pink is your colour, then double up on the Shimmer Brick and use it as an eye shadow palette. The spectrum of colours is more than enough to give you a sultry, sexy eye make up look.
