I love a good trip to Selfridges Exchange Square. Its a place I visit frequently, so much so that the girls who work there, know me by name and vice versa!
My first port of call was the Giorgio Armani counter as I am on the hunt for a new foundation and have three in mind. Zoe was ever so helpful, and gave me a sample pot of Luminous silk foundation. Along with this she gave me her business card, and details to contact for a consultation if I needed any further help or advice. Ill be booking in very soon!
Next up was MAC, where I was introduced to Jack. I had two lots of ‘Back to MAC’ to return and Jack was very helpful, and patient, when I was trying to decide on lipsticks as I have a very large amount at home already! I went for Coral Bliss and Jack chose Lady Danger for me, as he thought it would suit my colouring and also my love for strong lip colours. I also chose the 195 concealer brush, and with this Jack gave further alternative in which he uses when doing makeovers. Fabulous!
Over at the Chanel counter, David assisted in my foundation hunt by giving me a very generous sized sample of Vitalumiére aqua foundation. I’m very much looking forward to trying this out, as I love Chanel products!
My favourite and most lusted after counter came next. Tom Ford. What can I say. I am in love with this super brand. The luxury, the pigmentation of the products, the gorgeous packaging and to be served by the very complimentary Lupe, who greeted us with ‘Hello, gorgeous ladies’. What more can a girl ask for. Although I didn’t buy anything from Tom Ford (yet), I came away with a sample of the Traceless Foundation and Illuminating Primer. These have been on my wishlist for a while, so I am excited to try these out.
Overall, a very successful shopping trip. Once I have tried out my sample foundations, I will write up a review for them all and post it on the blog.
I would also like to thank Harriet for her exemplary customer service. I felt like I was treated like royalty and came away from Selfridges Exchange Square feeling very happy and very spoilt!!
