Selfridges Beauty Project Wednesday 7th May

On Wednesday evening, I was invited to Selfridges to cover the launch party for The Beauty Project. The Beauty Project is a six week long journey to explore the definition of beauty through talks, activities and of course beauty experiences in store. Manchester Exchange Square is my local Selfridges, so I will be attending as many of the events as I can.

Wednesday night was a fun filled evening with many events happening on each counter. My make up was done for the evening by Jack at MAC who gave me a soft smokey eye with carbon black liner. Jack has a great technique and is definitely one of my favourite MAC artists and I would thoroughly recommend you to book in with him to have your make up done for a special event.

Jo Malone were offering bespoke printed boxes with any purchase of the Calm & Collected range of popular fragrances. The classic Jo Malone scents such as English Pear and Freesia and Pomegranate Noir have been specially redesigned by the wonderful artwork from Calm & Collected and are only available for five weeks. Watching the screen printing was a new experience to myself and I learnt that each box is as individual as its new owner. From the colours to the design, the beautiful prints are a perfect keepsake to your collection.

Illamasqua were celebrating the launch of their new Summer collection, Matte Effect, and were giving the opportunity to have flash eye-overs with make up artists Paddy and Philip. I adore Illamasqua, as regular readers of my blog will know. I can’t live with the Sculpting Duo and Eyebrow Cake in Thunder.

I also had the opportunity to meet the fabulous celebrity make up artist, Armand Beasley. Armand is such a gentleman and took time to chat to me about his favourite products and even posed for a few photographs. Keep an eye out for Armands top make up must haves, coming soon!
