Last Summer whilst at work, I noticed one of my fellow hosties wearing an incredible pale peachy coral lipstick that had just the right amount of coverage and looked incredible with her tan. A little bit of digging later and I found out it was the Rimmel Kate Moss 16. Fabulous! Rimmel is that brand that keep surprising me recently. After my teenage years of wearing Rimmel products, I don’t know why I don’t visit the Rimmel stands as often as I used too, especially now that I keep seeing the bloggersphere set alight with the fab new foundation offerings.
Rimmel Lasting Finish lipstick by Kate Moss contains black diamonds to create a light reflecting lipstick that stays put for up to 8 hours. It certainly does last for a long time however 4 hours is closer to the truth than 8. The formula is creamy and moisturising and not at all drying. The colour is opaque and fades to a peachy pink tint on my lips. The scent is quite overpowering, but not unbearable and it does fade off during wear.
The colour is so beautiful. It is one of those perfect Summer coral colours, that has an iridescence to it that looks so gorgeous especially with a tan. I am going to try layering it with NARS Orgasm lip gloss over the top for a hot summer look. The colour reminds me of MAC Costa Chic, but a slightly better version in that it has a creamier formula that remains on the lips a lot longer. For £5.49, you certainly get a fabulous product for your money.
When I find a drugstore lipstick that makes me question my high end lipsticks, it certainly makes me think that I should be more open to reliving my teenage years and hanging around those make up stands that I used to adore.
You can purchase your Rimmel Kate Moss 16 from Boots, as I am pretty sure that you will be getting one 😉
Have you tried any other colours from the Kate Moss collection. Which colour would you recommend for me to try next?
