I have a new toy! It’s quite seriously the most fun beauty gadget I have ever tried in my life, and it actually makes a difference. After having used the Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Toothbrush for the last few weeks, I though I would also share my new toy that has been working in conjunction with my toothbrush to give me that perfect clean smile. The Philips Sonicare AirFloss is quite possibly the fun-est thing I’ve put in my mouth. Minds out of the gutter please!
I’m getting really hot on my dental care as of late and I’ve found that a decent toothbrush has solved so many problems, including the need to whiten my teeth. Since being introduced to the Philips Sonicare AirFloss, I have seen such a massive difference in how my teeth look and feel. It’s quite a funky little gadget, which is rechargeable by placing it on it’s own custom stand. You can fill the well with either water or mouthwash before you go to work on your teeth. Even though your teeth look like they are really close together, the gaps between them are quite apparent and with the amount of food and drink we consume, it’s highly likely that there will be a build up of yucky stuff in between each tooth. The AirFloss is almost like a small and powerful water gun that is designed to blast small amounts of water or mouthwash through each gap in the tooth to clear it of any debris.
It does warn you that the first few times you use it, that you may get bleeding from the area and just like the toothbrush, this happened to me. It’s amazing just how much is missed with a manual brush and floss and considering I thought I was really good at keeping my teeth clean, I was quite wrong! My teeth now feel amazingly clean and I can tell when I need to floss, as I can feel the build up compared to when I have just flossed my teeth. I am more than impressed.
Charging wise, I got around three weeks from a full charge before having to charge again. The custom charging stand is discreet and charges up the AirFloss within around 4 hours, although I have been leaving it to charge overnight next to my toothbrush.
The Philips Sonicare AirFloss was recommended at at retail price of £99 but again in John Lewis and Boots, I have found that it’s on an introductory offer of £79.99. I have the limited edition pink shade, which is so cute and matches my toothbrush and bathroom.
