Nanshy Masterful Collection

Over the years, I have amassed quite a collection of make up brushes. I remember the first high end make up brushes that I ever got. A powder brush and an eyeliner brush from Dior, they were the most beautiful brushes I had ever seen. It started off my brush obsession and even know I get excited when I add a new brush to my collection. From MAC to Real Techniques, I don’t care about the price as long as they give great application, wash easily and last a long time. I’ve even spent $80 on a Marc Jacobs Bronzing brush and had zero regrets! Nanshy are a brand that I have seen so many times but I’ve never tried up until recently. What drew me to Nanshy was the beautiful handles, shiny ferules and vegan friendly bristles. The Masterful collection is the most perfect collection for beginners, who are looking to expand their make up brush collection to cover all bases.

The twelve brush Masterful Collection from Nanshy is simply beautiful. From face to eye, it covers all areas that you need a specific type of brush. Inside the black glossy box, you’ll find the following brushes; Powder, Blush, Stippling, Contour, Foundation, Shader, Blending, Crease, Pencil, Angled Detailer, Liner and Lip Brush, all for the exceptional price of £49.95. When you work out the cost per brush, it makes each brush worth just over £4 each. The pearlescent white brush handles are so beautiful and they look so luxurious, with the name of the brush printed on each handle. Silver ferrules printed with the Nanshy branding house the softest of bristles.

Nanshy are known for creating brushes that are vegan friendly and cruelty free and they have also been approved by Peta.Org. All the bristles are synthetic and Nanshy’s mission is to ensure that no animal fur is used at all. I do like synthetic bristles as I find that they really help with blending and distributing the product whilst not holding onto the formula. It works especially well with creamy products as the bristles don’t absorb the make up, thus saving on the amount used.

The brushes, although of an exceptional price, are of exceptional quality and scream prestige and luxury. I’ve been loving using them, and although I don’t like getting pure white dirty, they seem to almost hold off staining the brushes. I’ve washed them and they don’t shed, whilst coming up really clean and I’m pleased to say that they don’t shed after washing either.

I would recommend the Nanshy Masterful Collection to anyone wanting to try out a set of new brushes, especially on a budget. From being advised that my parcel had been dispatched, my brushes were here in record time and packaged up beautiful in the glossy box and clear lid. I’ve spotted a few more brushes in the Nanshy shop that I will definitely have to purchase, including the Eye Brush set and the Face Brush Set with the pointed contour brush. Dreamy.

  • I’ve heard so may great things about Nanshy makeup tools, but I’m still yet to try any. As you say, they look gorgeous and far more expensive than they actually are! What a well-designed, comprehensive collection, too!
