Marc Jacobs Daisy Sorbet

First of all, I simply refuse to admit that Marc Jacobs Daisy has been out since 2007. Where has that time gone? You could say it’s flown – well, it has for me. I started working for my airline in 2007 and one of my very first treats was a bottle of Marc Jacobs Daisy. Since then, I have been on a collecting spree and have amassed the majority of the Marc Jacobs Daisy fragrances as well as the spin offs. There’s something about the underlying fragrance notes that grips my senses so much. Within each variation of the Daisy fragrance, the original Daisy scent can be found, yet updated and freshened up with each new release. This year Marc Jacobs has released both Daisy and Daisy Eau So Fresh in limited Sorbet editions; colourful, fresh and delicate.

Marc Jacobs Daisy Sorbet

Marc Jacobs Daisy Sorbet opens with pear, passion fruit and pink grapefruit – sparkly and vibrant. Heart notes of jasmine that is present throughout all of the Daisy fragrances, wisteria flowers and Lily of the Valley warm into a fresh summer day. Base notes of violet wood, cedar and musk create a warmth and transport you into a field of flowers. The juiciness of the fruit livens up the initial spray yet when it settles down, the original Daisy is ever present.

My only downside to this fruity-floral fragrance is that it doesn’t last very long, two to three hours maximum. With the bottle being so pretty, it’s nicer to keep it on your dresser rather than transporting it around in your bag. I have transferred some of the fragrance into my atomiser to keep with me throughout the day.

Marc Jacobs Daisy Sorbet

Regardless of the scent, if you are a collector of the Daisy bottles then you need to add Daisy Sorbet to your collection. The daisies that adorn the lid are in a limited edition sheer pink and purple shades. I look forward to each year when Marc Jacobs release their newest limited edition fragrances, and Marc Jacobs Daisy Sorbet has taken over as my number one out of the collection. I wonder what next year will bring!

I’ve found Marc Jacobs Daisy Sorbet to be the cheapest at Fragrance Direct at £44.99 for 50ml.

The original Daisy is one of my favourite scents but I also like all the new additions. And you can’t beat the pretty bottles, they’re super adorable! x

  • Its such a pretty bottle and I actually like buying perfume to display haha it is so wrong, the lasting power doesn’t sound fab but you can just keep spritzing away 😉 xx
