Whilst I sit and write this post today, I’m watching the sun stream through the blinds of my hotel room in the Dominican Republic. A clear blue sky is present and I can see just how warm it is just by looking at the sun burning in the sky. Very shortly, I will be covering myself in sun tan lotion before I take root under a parasol and relax with a book. The tropical scents of the flowers warming in the sun, the coconuts in the sun lotion and the mangos in the daiquiris will all evoke powerful memories in the future and transport me back to to that week I spent lazing in the Caribbean. If only they could bottle up the smell for those dull, dark February days in the UK. Today I am introducing you to Mandara Spa, a budget body range that feels so much more luxurious than it’s low price tag.
Mandara Spa Bali Santi is an incredible range of bathing and body products that all have coconut oil at its base with the addition of lotus flowers and sweet almonds to give its a unique, evocative fragrance that lingers on the skin. I’ve been bathing with the Bali Santi Indulgent Bath and Shower Cream which smells amazing. The addition of yoghurt into the coconut and lotus flower blend leaves my skin feeling hydrated and heavily moisturised before I’ve even added a post shower body lotion. The Bali Santi Firming Body Lotion has the addition of sweet almond to nourish the skin, whilst it’s lightweight formula leaves skin soft and silky with no greasiness. The lotion sinks into skin quickly with no residue and it’s been a god send to dry patches with have looked noticeably clearer over the last few weeks.
Being a avid user of hand cream, I’ve been using the Mandara Spa Shea and Coconut Hand Cream which smells beautiful. Just like the Bali Santi lotion, its non greasy and leaves my hands feeling fresh and smooth. It’s also an ideal size for work and I’ve had several crew wanting to try it as it smells good enough to eat. After a long day at work, where I am working in a dry environment and handling heavy carts and cannisters, it really does give the extra nourishment that my hands need. I’ve also been treating my feet to some extra special care post flight by using the Mandara Spa Citrus and Coconut Foot Butter. A luxurious treat that smells like holidays, the foot butter goes a long way. I’ve been adding copious amounts to my feet of an evening and wearing a pair of cotton socks whilst in bed so the butter has plenty of time to work its magic overnight. My feet feel brand new in the morning, with the strain of the previous day has alleviated. I’m a complete convert to using a foot cream now, especially as it doesn’t have the menthol cooling feel that most other foot creams have.
I’ve been looking at where the Mandara Spas are across the world, and aside from London, there are two in Las Vegas which I am hoping to visit this summer. I would love to have a full pamper with more of the products as they are so luxurious. Mandara Spa products can be purchased in Sainsburys at home with most products falling under £10, which I think is brilliant.
Have you tried Mandara Spa?
