Makeup Revolution Ultra Blush and Contour Palette in Sugar and Spice

Blushers. To me, a made up face is not complete without adding a flush of colour to the apples of your cheeks. Combined with a dash of contouring and your face can be a work of art. Applying blusher and contouring is a skill that I have been working on over the years and it’s probably only in the last 12 months of so, that I have found the ideal place on my face to wear my blush that looks flattering. I never expected to be a huge blusher lover, but I am and I can’t get enough of playing around with different colours and finishes. My medium skin tone works a pink blush the best and I love to push the boundaries, so the brighter the better. Luckily the Makeup Revolution Ultra Blush and Contour Palette in Sugar and Spice has a selection of eight shades for me to choose from.

I’m pretty sure you know by now just how much I love the entire Makeup Revolution brand. I have got quite a nice collection going on and the Makeup Revolution Ultra Blush and Contour Palette in Sugar and Spice has fit in perfectly. Alongside the Cover and Conceal Palette, I use Sugar & Spice mainly for my work trips as it contains every colour that I could need whilst away from my make up collection.

Within the eight shades are six matte finishes and two frost finishes, with two contour shades, two highlights and four blushes ranging from pink to peach. On the top row are the contour shades, a baby pink blush and a lilac toned highlighter. The second row holds a plummy pink, a bright pink, a peach and pink frosty highlighter.

As with all Makeup Revolution products, the quality is incredible for the low price of the make up. At just £6, each shadow works out as 75p each and they are in serious competition with higher end brands. They are heavily pigmented, and with the deeper colours a small amount is needed otherwise the pay off is way too intense. The lilac toned highlighter is probably the only colour from the palette that I don’t really use, and it’s more of a personal preference as I like my highlighters to be more champagne in colour however the other seven shades definitely get their fair share of use.
